The photos don’t do it justice. the property is gorgeous , absolutely perfect for group gathering. There is so much space for drinks and dinner , the kitchen is amazing! we had a big dinner for 10+ - plenty of glassware / dishware / platters for the event . It was spacious but cosy….Abbeyleix is a lovely little town with a few local pubs , nice bakery, convenient supermarket, gift shop… it’s so cute! Ross , the host, is brilliant ! Very friendly , helpful , accommodating , knowledgeable… such a nice guy. We were sad to leave when our stay ended!

Situated in Portarlington, the recently renovated The Gate House, Kilmullen features accommodation 16 km from Kildare Town Heritage Centre and 24 km from The Curragh Racecourse. It was lovely and cosy, little treats left for you and continual breakfast supplied. We were at a wedding in The Heritage and this location was ideal to stay in. Ciarán and Georgina were lovely and very accommodating to us.

Country Cottage is situated in Portarlington, 17 km from Kildare Town Heritage Centre, 24 km from The Curragh Racecourse, as well as 24 km from Athy Heritage Centre-Museum. The cottage was perfect. Plenty of space, spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We had a great night there with our dog and are already planning to go back for a longer stay.

The host had left fresh scones bb bananas water & other bits for us that we didn't expect . So really appreciated them .
