The location was great, very close to a supermarket. We loved the suite, huge bathroom, very comfortable room with everything you would expect in a suite.

The hosts were very easy and pleasant to communicate with, and provided a great personal touch to the place. The place was very cozy, and had all the amenities someone could ever need. The bed was very comfortable, and the place was tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with silverware, cookware, kitchen appliances, and basic pantry items. Towels and linen, as well as toiletries are all provided. The sauna also works perfectly, and had a convenient access to the patio for a cool down in the snow. Finally, the location was unbeatable as it was only a couple of minutes from the Olavinlinna castle, the city center, and walking trails on the islands.

The perfect stay we have ever had!!! The hospitality of the host surprised us so deeply! Breakfast was not included in the room, but the host bought us croissants, yogurt, biscuits, juice, cakes, and et cetera. We have felt like at home! Once again we would like to say the biggest thanks for our wonderful stay!

When we walked in we thought it was the reception to the building (as it's on the ground floor and has something of a feeling of a shop with the floor to ceiling windows etc), however very quickly realised it was indeed the actual apartment. Spotlessly clean, and felt luxurious to only have 2 of us staying when the apartment could quite comfortably sleep 6. Entry was very easy with the code provided, and parking is available just over the road in the small car park behind the K-Market. Would highly recommend for a trip to Savonlinna as it's in an incredible location just 5 minutes walk from Olavinlinna and the lakeside, but also easily accessible from the road.

We used this accommodation as our home base for several day tours in the Finnish lake region, and we do not regret it for a small moment. A nice small guesthouse with a private sauna, just a short walk away from the harbour, offers anything you need as a tourist. Granted, the room may not have the most modern look, but we were happy nonetheless: the room was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen has many utensils. The biggest asset of this guesthouse? The host: a very kind and welcoming lady who helped us on our way multiple times. This hospitality was also reflected in all common areas, which were breathing a cozy 'welcome home'-atmosphere. I would most definitely book here again.

El Salpalinjan Hovi se encuentra en un encantador edificio escolar reformado, a 10 minutos en auto del centro de la ciudad de Lappeenranta. Only few minutes by car from the center of Lappeenranta, quiet neighborhood, perfect for a rest. The house is beautifully renovated, has a unique charm. The breakfast was fabulous, plentiful. We will be back for a longer stay!

Breakfast was very generous, and the place was very well equipped! It was very quiet and pleasant. Nice sauna!
