It is located on the beach, but there is also supermarkets and restaurants close by. There is an amazing view, pool, great bar/restaurant and good beach. If you want you dont have to leave this place at all and it would still be a great vacation.

What we liked: - proximity to the beach; - very clean room and premises; - the products they used were of good quality: the butter was Lurpak, the coffee was nespresso, the bread was wholemeal and the list can go on; - quite an intimate atmosphere; - you can hear the sea from your room and in most rooms you can even see it from bed; - each room has a small, private terrace with a table and 2 chairs; - the breakfast was tasty, good and simple; - they lent us an umbrella to use for the remote beaches; - the staff offered us precious info and advice on traveling and visiting around; - the rooms were cleaned daily; - the staff was amazingly friendly, polite and helpful, especially Katerina.

The family who ran the hotel were so lovely and friendly, service was impeccable! They were always around to help if we needed anything and they provided advice on where to visit, how to get there, best times of day to see certain beaches etc. The studios were so clean and well kept, bed was very comfortable and the room a great size. The kitchenette was perfect, had all we needed. Plenty of space for clothes, hangers in the wardrobe, room for suitcases. Bedside tables on each side of the bed with easy access plug sockets. Great big mirror in the room and plenty of space for two people! There was a safe in the wardrobe which was a great addition for our passports/valuables. Super efficient air con in the room which was very necessary as it was a hot week! Bathroom was a good size, clean towels provided regularly and toilet toll. We had the option of getting the room cleaned as many times as we liked, it was spot on. The balcony had a view of the pool and nice space to sit out for breakfast, and also a clothes dryer which we used regularly for our beach towels and swimsuits! The beach was 30 seconds away, so close which we loved! Full of beach bars, with sunbeds, and the sea was gorgeous. The shops on the street were open very late and full of everything you need - so handy being this close to them! Many restaurants on the street as well, serving nice local food. There was also a restaurant with traditional Greek music every evening. The parking was great, just behind the hotel, easy to find and always a space available. The location was very easy to find using Google maps!

For breakfast (8-10 a. m.) there was enough variety of food for everyone: eggs prepared in three different ways - fried, scrambled in a roll, boiled -, small sausages, croissants and sweet pastries, toast, three types of bread, fruits (pineapple, bananas, apricots, watermelon ... ), olives (green and kalamata), milk, coffee, tea, orange juice, water, yoghurt, cheese, ham, feta cheese, cereals (mixed, corn flakes, chocolate balls), butter, marmalade, honey ... I hope I didin forget something You have to take a trip to Balos lagoon (alone or take a boat trip together with visit of Gramvousa island - cost 40 €/person with bus transfer to harbour Kissamos) and (evening) visit the old part of city Chania (local bus from Stalos costs you around 1,6-1,7 €). Near our accomodation you have a variety of restaurants and bars - we have chosen for Maria's restaurant - https://www.mariasrestaurantstalos.gr/ - top food, very reasonable prices, nice personnel, we had to wait a little longer for food and service than we are used to, but since we were on vacation and we were in no hurry, that was really no big issue for us.

the room was beautiful with a sea view, the owner was very accommodating, so nice and gave us suggestions of where to go and what to do, and gave us bergamot at the end of our stay. such a nice woman. we 1000% recommend to everyone staying in the area.

Everything was as expected. The sunset, the sea view, the weather. Maria and her husband are 2 wonderful people. Maria is always willing to help and make the stay perfect and the breakfast was delicious. Perfect for family or solo travelers. Totaly recommend it!! Stalos has nice beaches, tavernas and all you can think of. Only 15min by bus away from Chania town. Main busses on their way to Elafonissi, Balos or the Gardens of Crete drive through Stalos so you don't need to go to Chania for the bus. May vacation was perfect!! ❤️

We had a lovely two-week vacation staying at Anniko. The apartment is a two minute walk from a beautiful and spacious beach and very close to many great restaurants and grocery stores. Taking the bus to charming Chania for a nice evening in the old town was also very convenient and affordable. The apartment was kept very, very clean (cleaning every day, regularly changing bed sheets and towels) and had all the amenities we needed. The landlady was very kind and offered us many homemade treats and fresh fruits. We would love to visit the Chania region again and stay here again!
