Stayed here in early february. It was the perfect place to spend the first night in this wonderful new country. The owner was super helpful in every way imaginable, and even helped book us a car to Hoi An at a lower price.

But the place looks new and beautiful, the beds are big and comfortable, shower big and hot. I spent only a few hours there waiting for my flight but I wish I stayed longer! Reception is open 24h/24 which is also a big advantage if your plane arrives late or leaves early.

Each to his own but very little grabbed us. We consistently had problems with evening dining- at 3 venues they made stupid errors and neglected to offer any fix. I appreciate one was a language issue and we took no offence the other two were not. Even so if you want the tourist dollar you have to be able to meet service and language demands. There was no problem in any other of the 4 locations on the trip….not to mention the pea soup of smog, it eradicated any interesting views.

Da Nang has been our favourite destination so far on our trip. It way exceeded our expectations on all fronts. Bars and restauarants are plentiful and there's plenty to suit every budget. Beach is awesome, sea is a lovely temperature. Everyone seems very friendly, and it feels very safe to walk around, day or night. Grab cabs/bikes are plentiful and super cheap, and the Dragon Bridge is a sight to behold on fire breathing nights...not to be missed. Take in Hoi An from a DaNang base, also an awesome place to visit. If you're coming to Vietnam, don't miss out on this part of the country, you won't regret it!

Da Nang was a taste of the real Vietnam.
Da Nang was a taste of the real Vietnam. It is huge and busy. But you can also find some quiet areas, especially at the beach which was deserted. We stayed for 6 nights and that was just right. We got to see Marble Mountain, the Lady Buddha and Ba Na Hills and on the other days we walked all over just seeing Vietnamese life. I would advise staying at a hotel away from the beach. There you will see the real Vietnam. It was a 55 minute walk to the beach and we loved it even though it was 42C in April. But one day we took a taxi there and it cost just over £2! On the weekends at 2100 Dragon Bridge has a spectacular show that thousands flock to. Restaurants are every other shop and the food is incredibly cheap. Shout out to IVegan for such fabulous food (not particularly Vietnamese) and Meet Banh Mi for amazing Iced Coconut Latte and Mango Smoothie.

Very pretty city by the beach with nice night markets. You can also do some hiking by visiting the Buddhas. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops for every taste A lot of massage places and convenience stores

Aside from language barrier, we enjoyed Da Nang.
Aside from language barrier, we enjoyed Da Nang. We like walking around the neighborhood near our hotel in the city center. There are lots of hole-in-the-wall eateries serving affordable meals and good food. We went to Hoi An for a day, and also to Ba Na Hills, the Marble Mountains, and around the river area.
