Set in Cork and only 12 km from University College Cork, Ballea Farmhouse offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. We had a wonderful stay. The house was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The owner was very responsive and we loved the fresh flowers and muffins that were on the table when we arrived. It was also nice to see the donkeys through the kitchen window as I drank my coffee in the morning and again when we went outside to the back of the house. The three bathrooms were also a big plus and the Smart TV in the living room was appreciated by my kids. I would stay here again.

The staff are exceptional at this hotel especially JOHN and TonI. Everyone is so friendly and sweet from the doorman to the service staff to the maid who clean and change the room daily. A truly fabulous and wonderful experience and I especially loved the books in the library. The doorman we’re always putting logs on the fire in the evening and there was always a wonderful real fire burning beside two fabulous leather chairs . Fabulous Food, Amazing scones. Beautiful newly refurbished room and shining marble with a rainforest showerhead and handheld wand. They even had Netflix on the TV which surprised me. I was surprised by the local entertainment in Cork as well I actually got tickets to see a concert by Van Morrison and within the week Elton John was actually playing there as well. They have an airport for those that want to fly in from other parts of Europe. The Staircase in the hotel is absolutely spectacular. The whole place is a rare treasure.
