Set in private wooded grounds overlooking the River Tay, the Invercarse Hotel is a former mansion house that offers a convenient base for Dundee and the surrounding area; it has all the benefits of a... Our room was lovely and spacious. The hotel is really lovely and the staff friendly and courteous. Free parking on site and only a few miles out from Dundee. We only stayed 1 night, but would be more than happy to return again.

The place was bigger and better decorated than the pictures show. The bathroom is also separate, not 'en suite' as listed. We liked that it had a full tub as well as shower. The beds were very comfy. The kitchen is very well stocked with equipment if you want to prepare your own meals. Very clean place. Communication was very good with the hosts even though we had a problem with Booking.com with the reservation. There are bus stops right nearby or an easy 20 minute walk into the centre, if you don't have a car.

Located in the West End of Dundee, the Shaftesbury Lodge Guest House is a 5-minute taxi journey from Dundee city centre. Very clean and it was nice to have warm breakfast every morning.
