The location of Erontas was exactly how we would have liked it. It's a slight walk from the main plaza at Argiroupoli, but nothing too inconvenient. Yannis (the owner) was available for recommendations on WhatsApp, and his wonderful wife was waiting for us with the keys to the place. But that's not all - we walked into Erontas with a fridge full of fresh fruit, sparkling wine, red and white wine, and a fantastically stocked kitchen. There was absolutely nothing that the owners at Erontas had not thought of - two comfortable bed-rooms, a lovely dining area, fantastic kitchen, and the best views from the Balcony. Wi-fi was fantastic too, and reached all parts of the house. We would highly recommend spending a few days here, and driving around to other parts of Crete. It's a lovely stop on the way to most places in West/ Central/ North Crete.

We had an amazing time at the villa with our family (7 people). We were warmly welcomed by our host with (homemade) raki and snacks. The owners are very friendly and generous. There was water and food available to start off our holiday. They even brought us their homemade wine :P. The villa is absolutely gorgeous. Even better than the photo's suggest. We were so happy to stay here. We felt like moviestars. The villa is very nicely decorated in a traditional style. The apartment upstairs is a little bit more modern and also as everything needed. We loved both! From the apartment upstairs you can do some great stargazing. There is private parking on the terrain. There are various (shady and sunny) terraces to sit and enjoy the views of the mountains and the beautiful gardens. There is a great pool and pooltowels and toys for in the pool were also provided. There is a garden where we could pick our own fruits and vegetables (really enjoyed the tomatoes and watermelon). You can hear/see sheep in the area and watch the swallows during the day and bats during the night drink from the pool. There are several nice taverna's in the area and there is a bakery next to the villa. The waterfalls of Argiroupoli are nearby and have some nice (cool) places to eat. The beach is 15 minutes away and there is a good supermarket in the village of Episkopi (5 min.). The more touristic town of Georgioupoulis and the city of Rethymon are about 20 minutes by car. Lake Kournas is 15 minutes. Because of the intense heat (we were here during the heatwave) we were not as active as we had wanted to be but in better weather there are some nices hikes around the area and some cultural places to visit. We were supposed to stay here in may 2020. Due to Covid we couldn't come and we had to change our dates to this summer. Luckily this was not a problem for the owners. They were very helpfull. We highly recommend this place!

Villa w cudownej lokalizacji - widoki nieziemskie! Naokoło cisza, spokój i pasące się kozy. Villa na uboczu, brak sąsiadujących domów, za to w niewielkiej odległości miasteczko, gdzie można zaopatrzyć się w lokalnym sklepie. Warto odwiedzić lokalną atrakcje, czyli wodospady. Chodziliśmy spacerem na kolację do jedynej tawerny w okolicy z pysznym jedzeniem. Dom posiadał wszystko co było potrzebne. Miło, że w lodówce znajdowało się wino + na stole powitalne raki. Są ręczniki, mikrofala, wifi. W ogrodzie mini golf, hamak, huśtawka, zabawki dla dzieci.Jeśli chcesz poczuć lokalny klimat Krety i uwielbiasz góry to serdecznie polecam, byliśmy zachwyceni. Ze wszystkich noclegów podczas naszego wyjazdu, chyba ten był najlepszy.

The mother who met us there was lovely and charming, one of the nicest people we met on our vacation. Location is great, but you definitely need a car, which we knew and were ok with. Views are unbelievable. Lovely breakfast place within walking distance. Cold beer and water waiting in the fridge. Owner was easy to contact and communicate with.
