Even the sofa bed mattress is more comfortable than many regular hotel mattresses. Beautiful view of the castle ruins, especially when lit up at night. The spa and infinity pool put the new hotel over the top. Entire facility is very clean including the rooms. Love the honesty fridge in the lobby so we can grab a bottle of wine or water even when the shop is closed. The terraces for the suites are massive! Very dog friendly - they cooked our pup his own meal. Easy and secure parking in the garage. Rooms are nicely sound proofed.

Set in a 300-year old farm house and featuring a spa area with a sauna and infrared cabin and a terrace, CottageNumber9 offers children and pet-friendly accommodation in Leiben, 7 km from Melk. We spent 2 nights here on Silvester with my husband and our dog Molly trying to escape the New Year's fireworks. The owner is very nice chatty lady. We enjoyed the amazing breakfast prepared by her. For the dog people / people that like walks - there is a perfect location for long walks just across the street from the accommodation. We also loved the sauna included in the price. We will definitely come back again :)

This family-run 4-star hotel is located in the picturesque pilgrimage town of Maria Taferl in Lower Austria, only a few steps away from the famous basilica. Restaurant was first class, staff were brilliant, very traditional without being old fashioned .. lovely all round.
