Excellent rooms, very comfortable for family and nice location in Kandersteg, walking distance from Train station. Beautiful view of the alps from the balcony. Restaurant food was delicious, presented beautifully and tasted like made with fresh ingredients.

The hotel and spa are classic, beautiful rooms, with a great attention to comfort and details. The property is enchanting. The spa is so beautiful and energizing. Our dinner with trout raised right there was amazing. Great wine list too. The staff is so friendly and welcoming.

The views from the hotel were absolutely amazing even when it was raining. Good food and service. Parking is nearby even if it is public parking. Bus tickets included. Bergbahnen tickets included. Our room was clean and had amazing views. A lot of things to do. A lot of hikes and trotibike trails. Situated in the center of the village, there is always something going on.

Claudia and Gerhard are the loveliest and most welcoming hosts i've ever met , always there happy to help. The hotel is very close to gondola just 5 min walking. I highly recommend it for solo travelers.

It’s surrounded by the mountains, hiking trails start right behind the property. It’s all very woody and spacious. The staff is outstandingly friendly and like I said in the title I have never felt my dog so welcomed. They even made a reservation for me and her at the restaurant (whereas most places don’t allow dogs in the restaurants). That‘s the main reason for the high rating. The dinner menu was exquisite. The dorm rooms are basic in an area used for Nordic skiing change area during the winter months. Also some kind of heater in the room we were in. We were three people in a room with space for seven. The toilet and shower area is next door. Clean and functional. Towels and soap are available. Overall for the price it's a good balance.

Breakfast choices were good, with a variety of food and drinks. The cleaners were courteous, and the hotel generally clean. The hotel is conveniently located and has a parking area, but it seemed not to have enough space for all the guests' cars.
