Rasta House,,Koh Phayam, hotel in Ko Phayam

Rasta House, Koh Phayam provides beachfront accommodations in Ko Phayam. It provides free Wifi, a private beach area, a garden, and a restaurant.

Rasta House was a great place to stay. The bungalow was spacious and had an excellent balcony/deck with a hammock. It is a basic island bungalow so be prepared for some critters but there is a mosquito net. The staff were kind and helpful. The location is right in the center of the island, easy walk down to Hin Talu or up to a collection of restaurants and shops at the main road. With a motorbike you can get to the other end of Buffalo Bay or Long Beach or the Pier. There is a great restaurant next door with coffee, food, motorbikes and laundry(although Rasta house does laundry and has some motorbikes too).

Tropical Hostel, hotel in Ko Phayam

Offering water sports facilities, an open-air bath, and free Wifi, Tropical Hostel is a recently renovated guest house a 4-minute walk from Aow Yai Beach and 1.1 miles from Koh Payam.

This hostel is by far the best one I ever stayed in. Almost everyone staying here had to extend their stay at least once, because it is just so comfortable in here. If you like hippie vibes and not so crowded beaches, Koh Phayam is really it for u. This hostel is truly a hidden gem :)) lots of love

JJ Beach Resort & JJ Seafood, hotel in Ko Phayam

Located in Ko Phayam, a few steps from Aow Yai Beach, JJ Beach Resort & JJ Seafood has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Could hear the sound of the surf from the bungalow and I love swimming in the sea. Dining on the beach was super and the restaurant food was very good. Bungalows were comfortable and clean. The resort didn’t overwhelm the nature. The cost was a real plus; JJ’s delivered great vacation value.

What a beautiful, mostly unspoilt island, lovely beaches, jungle and no cars! Laid back atmosphere. The food was amazing, much, much better than in Koh Tao where we are now. Lovely local people. A real gem - let’s hope it doesn’t go the way of Koh Samui and Koh Tao.

The Island is incredible - beautiful, lush and lovely to explore by scootie, cycle or walking. Our fav restaurant was The Kitchen Table run by Chioko. Best brusketta and place to hang with sweet kitties and dogs. Also Flower Power has excellent Italian food. We loved our stay in Bamboo Bungalos. Can’t wait to go back! Pure heaven.

    Empty wide sand beach, tranquility.

Empty wide sand beach, tranquility. It is great for people who really want to relax, great for families. Rent a scooter to get around, if you want to explore a little more. Kajaks are fun to have some activity.

    The weather, the scenery.

The weather, the scenery. The beaches were all stunning and the sunsets at JJ Beach resort were amazing!! Plenty of good restaurants on the island. Can personally recommend Flower Power and Cha Chai Hime for vegetarian food. All round good vibes on the island.

Phayam is a paradise of older Thailand. (No MacDonalds!!!!)

Phayam is a paradise of older Thailand. (No MacDonalds!!!!) The Thai and Burmese that live and work on the island are always friendly, helpful and HONEST. Getting around the island is easy and cheap, whether by foot, motorbike, bicycle or motorbike taxi. The food is delicious, with a variety of cuisines for those who want a change from Thai or Burmese food, many of the foodstuffs are sourced locally, including seafood caught from the sea surrounding Phayam, food and accomodation are very affordable, I have been coming to Phayam for ~ 8 years now and won’t stop.

The location is perfect. The beach and area around the hotel are keept clean. The rooms are very comfortable and I especially like the softer mattress compared to other hotels in thailand. The staff is extremely nice and will help you get anything you need. The pool is clean and nice view over the ocean. Please remember - this is an upcoming tourist area, so not all staff speak English - but then again that's a good excuse to learn a bit of thai language.

Nothing if you are in the second raw bungalows. We booked for 5 days and looked for another place the very same day we arrived. The location was terrible, the view was to a wall from the bungalow in front, totally overpriced, and they kept telling us that if we didn’t like it we should talk to booking.com. Needless to say that the tv, the air-conditioned didn’t work,… total rip-off. They are lying to you when the sell the second row bungalows!

We had such a wonderful time at this beautiful little resort in a quiet spot on Ao Khao Kwai beach. Tastefully decorated bungalows and restaurant, really good food and coffee and a relaxed beachfront area. Toi and Liam were extremely friendly and helpful, all day long ready to help you with whatever needs you might have. Thank you so much to both of you and the rest of the team!

This place is amazing. All the beautiful details in the bungalows and the garden with small cosy sitting areas and hammocks. I think, it is the cutest place, I have even been to in Thailand. And the whole staff is so nice and helpful.🙏 They all make your stay very special and the food is yummi yummi. Don't forget to try the mango sticky rice

100% perfect location on the south end of Buffalo Bay. Only a few bungalows tucked away in the trees so never felt busy. Incredibly quiet and peaceful, surroundings immersed in nature. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and served above average food.

Everything, soooo peaceful. Before I came i read the reviews and there was one or two saying bad things? Don't come if you're expecting 4 star hotel comforts but if you like nature and don't mind a fairly basic experience (i think you know what I mean?) You will love it x
