I wouldn’t recommend Olympia to any Israelis or Jew who is Zionist in the least. Every business we walked into had pro Palestinian fliers up & there was pro Palestinian graphitti everywhere. To a Jew or any person who believes Israel has a right to exist & defend itself & that Jews have a right to their homeland, this experience was disheartening. Customer service in 2 out of 4 businesses we entered left us feeling unwelcome. The farmers market was great, and the meal we had at the Uptown Grill was delicious and memorable. We came to Olympia for a one night get away from Seattle to relive a memory we had during a Spring Break 3 yrs ago, to eat cake from Gotti Sweets only to learn she makes cakes special order only now because there is no longer any foot traffic since the Pandemic to support walk in business. I understand now after experiencing 24 hrs of the wasteland Olympia has became. It is a beautiful natural setting however, I’d go back for this & sleep at the Hilton or an Airbnb and explore the parks and outlying area. Olympia - Jewish lives matter. I don’t want to see books about Palestine in your bookstores next to books about the Holocaust, think about what message that sends people, hmm ?

Downtown Olympia does not have much to provide, especially on a weekend. One can walk its entire limits within 30 minutes. What I do love about Olympia is that you can potentially visit the natural beauty surrounding it: Mt. Rainier, Billy Frank jr Nisqually Wildlife Refuge, or just go kayaking. Olympia itself is just okay.

The woman who checked us in was a bit rude.
The woman who checked us in was a bit rude. Not our usual experience.
Love our bartender Rachel! She was awesome and helped us understand why dinner and breakfast were not being served—kitchen was under construction. It helped us be patient. It opened and the food was very good!
We love this hotel but always seem to have trouble with their heating system’s in our rooms. First time the heater didn’t work and they upgraded our room. Even in the upgraded room the heater would heat the room for 5 minutes but then blow cold air until the heat came back on. In this past visit we had the same issue.
The hotel is located a short distance from downtown shopping and dining. Great shops!
The beds are very comfortable and other than the heating issues we will continue to use this hotel when we come up to visit our granddaughter and her new family.

Olympia seems rather drab.
Olympia seems rather drab. There are a few interesting places, but the downtown is unattractive and the number of sketchy people on the streets seems disproportional to the size of the city. Olympia sits at the bottom end of Puget Sound where the water is kind of turbid, flat and sluggish. That's pretty much Olympia in a nutshell. People there like it, though.

I was in Olympia to attend a family member's memorial service which was emotionally draining and one did not appreciate dealing with problems at the motel.
No coffee in the room and one had to walk a long hallway to bring 2 cups back and unlock the door. Bed was no level and one slept in a small hole which was difficult to roll out of uphill. No shelf in the bathroom on which to put necessities. Limited menu in dining room.
The staff are excellent in providing good and thoughtful service. Always respectful, friendly and helpful with every detail. We appreciated Justin, Matt and Zac. They knew the Olympia area and readily provided answers to our questions.
Very clean rooms, excellent breakfast and best deal in town. My husband liked the biscuits and gravy, my daughter the eggs and bacon and for me the oatmeal with fresh blueberries. Breakfast and housekeeping staff are very efficient and helpful. We had a great stay and we will be back!
The room needs some repairs. The caulk around the bath was failing, and there were other signs of neglect that probably arent worth mentioning. For the price I expect more. That is the kind of thing you see at motel 6. Ramada hotels used to be the upper ecelon of midrange hotels. The breakfast have gone down hill considerably. The staff was awesome and they all should get a raise
We booked this hotel for the value. Several rooms needed for a weekend wedding. The hotel met our basic needs with a great central location and nice big parking space.
Our next-door neighbors arrived late & loud around midnight Saturday. We called the front desk & complained & thankfully the security person responded quickly to ask them to be quiet.
Gorgeous location but old and disused hotel wings. First floor room had a comfortable bed but smelled of urine (clearly a room where many pets had been). Floors were cold, heat was fine, comfy bed. Two random dirty surfaces with bits of gunk. They came to clean off the phone as I asked.
Came up for a one night stay and was pleasantly surprised by how convenient it was to find, access to Olympia was easy and the hotel had more amenities than expected.
Staff were wonderful and the facility was very clean.
There was a good variety of food at the morning buffet. The hotel location was easy to find and nice surroundings with park near by. The whole place was clean comfortable with friendly staff. I'll stay there again.
The rooms are always spotless. The bathrooms are well lit, and ventilated for showering etc. The breakfast is always a delight, we had omelets, bacon, bagels, fruit and coffee. The hotel was also quiet and warm.
Great location. Friendly staff especially in the bar. Our suitcase was broken and the handyman of the hotel (sorry, I forgot his name) helped us quickly. Thanks again!!! The suitcase made it back to Germany.
The hotel was wonderful! Beautiful location, clean and large rooms! The beds were comfortable for a hotel and plenty of blankets and pillows! I don't have anything negative to say about the property!
Roo. Has a beautiful view of the park. It is so close to everything. The beds are so nice. having breakfast in the morning I awesome. Buses are the best. Free and they have a stop right by hotel.
I like that hotel was clean and was quiet. Felt safe with everyone needing a room key to get in. I stayed in another hotel and middle of night someone tried getting in my room.
The front desk staff were wonderful and welcoming. We loved the pet-friendliness of the hotel and how close it was to the eateries and breweries downtown.
Breakfast was included and had a decent variety of products. The indoor pool is literally huge for a hotel. Plenty of parking in front of the building.
