Steakhouse dinner - prime sirloin - was VERY LEAN and delicious, as were the mashed potatoes and veggies.
Breakfast was included the next morning and was very good.
The Sky View Hotel was beautiful and artistically designed.
The Sky View Hotel was beautiful and artistically designed. The art instellation was so cool. They were very welcoming. Really enjoyed all the extra details they put into making our stay wonderful. They had snacks ready, large water bottles we could use for hiking, delicious fresh ground local coffee and a healthy breakfast from a local vendor. The room was perfect for viewing the stars. We also went up to the roof deck for night viewing. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. This is a truely wonderful place. Capitol Reef is a splendid National Park. Not to be missed.

Nice little town in a spectacular location near fabulous Capital Reef National Park. Liked the well stocked Chuck Wagon General Store with attached laundromat and helpful, friendly owner. Especially liked the nearby Color Country Animal Welfare Center which is a no-kill shelter with a wonderful staff, which also provides affordable boarding for people traveling with dogs so they can hike in the park which doesn't allow dogs on most trails. Would stay in the area again.

Torrey is a small charming town. It has several good food options. A local store, the Chuckwagon, that you can find your basic items at plus some more. They had a small farmers market Saturday evening. There is a book store and cute gift store as well. There are many overnight staus here. I reccomend Cougar Ridge. Beautiful!

Here you get all the beauty of Sedona, while leaving the crowds behind. This part of the world is easily some of the most beautiful. Torrey is right at the base of Boulder Mountain which offers all the activities typical to forested areas, while Capitol Reef National Park offers stunning desert rock formations. Enjoy one of America's great roads on Utah State Route 12 -- worth driving the whole thing.

Torrey is a small town in central Utah.
Torrey is a small town in central Utah. It is 10 miles west of Capitol Reef National Park. There are not many facilities to accommodate the ever growing number of visitors. Unfortunately, prices for lodging, food, camping and services keep rising at a faster rate than inflation. The attraction is the nation park and BLM recreation lands, such as Grand Staircase- Escalante National Monument, and the scenery. The restaurants, and now food trucks, charge above average prices for average food. The best value in town is the Chuckwagon Deli and Grocery Store.
Our stay in Torrey was great, it's location in relation to Capitol Reef National Park is perfect. We did not know what to expect at Motel Torrey, it was a throw back to the small Motels along all the old State Rtes. It was wonderful, we were greeted by Michelle , gave us all the information we needed and made great suggestions for dinner that night. Our room was exceptionally clean everything neat and tidy, we wish we could have spent another night in the area. We would most definitely recommend staying at Motel Torrey.
We stayed in the Chamisa room on 3rd floor. It was huge and also very pretty and cosy!
The guest house itself was absolutely beautiful, super clean and certainly a place to spend at least a few nights!! Breakfast was the best on our whole trip through Utah, not only freshly cooked eggs/french toast and with a variety of cereal, bread, fruits, juices but also finally a place that did not use plastic plates/cutlery/cups! We highly recommend to stay there if you're looking for a place anywhere near Capitol Reef.
Very cute boutique hotel. Perfect location, great amenities, the hot tub was the perfect ending to a long but fun day. All the extra little touches from the smores & campfire, treats in the room, wonderful coffee, and hospitality... this is the place to stay when visiting Capitol Reef/Torrey, UT. Loved the upper deck to check out the dark sky. The breakfast box we purchased from Hunt and Gather was soooo tasty! Wish the still would have been open for the season
The beds were very comfortable. The room was nicely decorated with a nice view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The quality of the coffee in the room was very good for a Keurig machine. The facilities such as the gym looked very nice, though we were not able to take advantage of them. The location was excellent - it was close to Capitol Reef and to Torrey, where we decided to eat the nights we were there.
Rim Rock Inn is located outside Torrey on the way to Capitol Reef National Park and is therefore closer to the park than accommodation in Torrey itself. There is a restaurant onsite although we didn't use it. We did use the pizza bar one night. We appreciated the complementary coffee and pastries that were provided in the lobby for breakfast.
Great location near Capitol Reef National Park. Convenient on-site diner/deli/market for breakfast or lunch and hiking/camping supplies. Well maintained pool and hot tub to soak the aching muscles. Friendly staff. Several delicious nearby restaurants too.
Very nice hotel in a small town close to Capitol Reef National Park. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a one-night stay. The onsite restaurant was convenient and had good service. The breakfast was good.
Great location for visiting Capitol Reef. The ambiance was nice and the theme was carried throughout the hotel and restaurant. The pool in the morning was refreshing and a bonus
Very quiet, room is spacious equipped with microwave, fridge, coffee maker, toiletries, lot of power outlets, good Mexican restaurant near by, visitor center is just 6 miles
