This stay was for a church event. I did not personally stay, however I did pay for the person that stayed. I have not had any negative comments regarding the stay. Thank you so much for following up
Conveniently located 1 mile from Stephen F. Austin State University. Victorian Inn & Suites has guest rooms fitted with a microwave, refrigerator and coffee service.
Comfortable beds. Coverlette had to be replaced on one bed due to stains and hairs on it...front desk addressed this immediately. Bathroom not the greatest - some mold in tub area and flooring needs to be replaced. For one night it was "ok".

Handicap room did not have any bars around toilet and only 1 bar to get in and out of shower. No shampoo or body cleaners, did have bar of soap. Room price good. Only real complaint was lack of bars, so did not shower, except with wash cloth and soap. Loved the courtyard there. There were all kinds of
restaurants close by the motel and a coffeepot in the room. The funeral home was right up the street, got around town easily.

There was a lot of fun museum and historic sites to visit.
There was a lot of fun museum and historic sites to visit. The parks are beautiful. We were there for SFA Orientation but I grew up in this area and love being back in the fresh air and pine trees. We loved the Deli in the DT square. Original red brick streets! I love the history of it all. We also loved the Dead Tree Book Store. Make sure and tell Atticus hello from us.

Still a nice.quiet.scenic old town with nice people.
Still a nice.quiet.scenic old town with nice people. Several great restaurants we ate at were Dolly's,Clear Springs,Aunty Pasta all very close by where we stayed. The highlight was the best B & B Hardeman House-a must stay. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed immensely the front porch where we sat and talked for several hours before going to bed. The breakfast was so lovely and felt very special how the host Kim served it to the quests. If you've never stayed at a B&B try this if your staying here.

Nacogdoches is a small East Texas town.
Nacogdoches is a small East Texas town. The people are friendly. It is a farming and ranching area, so the people drive pickup trucks and wear caps and camouflage. Hunting and fishing are the most popular sports. The countryside is thick with pine trees and some native hardwoods. It is very green right now. Nearby Lake Nacogdoches is a good place to fish or camp. Stephen F Austin Jr. College is located in Nacogdoches, so there are shops and small food places that accommodate them. There are several motels in town, and some B&Bs. I was there to fish in a bass club tournament. Sixteen of us ate in a private room at the Jalapeno Tree Mexican restaurant. The food was good, the margaritas were very good, but I thought the food was a little expensive for what we got. I liked the beef fajitas ($20 for one person) and the Charro beans were the best I have ever eaten. The large base margarita was reasonably priced at $7.50 for 16 oz. The chips were good and plentiful, and the red sauce was ok. I recommend this restaurant. There are nicer motels than the one we stayed at.

There is.so.much around Nacogdoches.
There is.so.much around Nacogdoches. It is.the.oldest.town in Texas..We.love.the older parts.of.town.where all types of thing can be.found.in one.of the many shops!.Talk with the owners. History is.the greatest treasure you can carry from here.
Daily housekeeping service with fresh towels (albeit, cheap ones) was nice to have, since only 1 bath towel, washcloth and hand towel (ea) was provided for each person in the room (no extras). Room was clean upon arrival. Rooms each have a microwave and refrigerator. Cheap rooms, mostly catering to weekly out-of-town contractors.
Had a new (or updated) feel. Spacious, comfortable. My room on the right side of the hotel looked out into the trees, which was very nice and private. Great customer service! When a party above me was stomping on the floor and getting loud at 11:30 pm, I called the front and they got it taken care of right away.
Nice hotel, once a grand place but showing its age, however kept up to date with refurbishments. Clean and comfortable and good location in downtown. USB sockets and power points each side of the bed. Full facilities with bar, restaurant, cafe, and shop in lobby. Friendly and helpful staff.
I was very surprised at how clean this hotel was. For the price I didn’t expect as much. Loved that there were no carpets on the floors. Looked as though it had been freshly remodeled. Will definite stay here again.
Great,Clean, hotel. This hotel is my go to in the area. The value is outstanding, the staff is superb and special kuddos to the housekeeping staff who are always on point. Thank you, I will be back!!
