Nice decor, but floors were dirty, ice machine was dirty, breakfast was supposed to be offered, but when we arrived 30 min before time limit, there was no breakfast to be had. i waited at the front desk for someone for ten minutes to check out and she kept insisting i checked out late, when the fault was on their end. it took them fifteen minutes after i called the number on the paper for someone to come downstairs to help me, i shouldn’t have been charged a late fee when i was waiting for their negligent employees to show up. the extra charges were outrageous, the receptionist was very rude insisting i give her $40 for “late check out” plus she wanted it in cash. saying she couldn’t charge the card on file or the hours would accumulate, “$20 per hour”

Great place to be if you are hunting there or are too tired...
Great place to be if you are hunting there or are too tired to drive on to San Antonio. On the upside there are a lot of hotel choices there providing the innkeepers are keeping up the properties. Since the oil field slowed down the Indian hotel management/owners are typical: saving money by cutting corners on maintenance, cleaning and so called breakfast.

I booked a non smoking room, but was given a smoking room. Most hotels have been charging $20 for two dogs and charge it to the credit card. This place charges $20 each and asked for cash. I wasn't told this in advance like most hotels have done. The room was rough, especially the bathroom. The air conditioning rattled all night, either too hot or too cold. The bedspread had a cigarette burn and the room stunk of smoke.DeanMexico

The room had high ceilings which buffered sound. The hotel is off the highway, so very little in the way of traffic noise. It is close close to the grocery store in Cotulla. They served a free dinner along with a couple of beers, plus breakfast during my stay. Probably, not a usual thing for the dinner side, although it was Labor Day.
