Front desk staff was friendly. When we first arrived, 11pm, I was a little nervous because of the area. Things seemed a little run down in the area. They had a security guard in the parking lot, which made us feel better. The inside of the hotel was beautifully remodeled and super clean! The beds were super comfortable. The room was spaced nicely. We would definitely stay again.

For lovers of rock and soul music, it’s a great place to visit. Lots to see and hear. Good bars and restaurants, although food is almost exclusively fried. Peabody hotel with its duck parade is a lovely place to stay, or just visit. Graceland and Sun Studio well worth visiting.

Everyday was a new surprise - botanical gardens with tulips and dogwood at peak, art museum, Elvis' Graceland, walk across the Mississippi River on old train bridge, Lorraine Motel and National Civil Rights Museum, Sun Records Studio, big city shopping with NICE departlment store, Beale Street, South Main Street District, Chucalissa village of Mississipian culture mounds and great trails, rich neighborhoods, poor neighborhoons - and did I mention all the great food (real fried chicken, hush pupplies, fried okra, grits, bar-bq, coconut cake, pecan pie, Mississippi mud pie, and microbreweries to name a few. AND the people of Memphis are very friendly and welcoming.

This is a wonderful city to visit especially if you are interested in the music scene and the beginnings of rock and roll. There are many music related museums to visit, car museums and of course Graceland - which I highly recommend going to- even if you aren’t a huge Elvis fan. The museum is so well done , it’s quite fabulous. We went in a Mojo bus tour which had a musician onboard who was also the tour guide and super knowledgeable. That was great fun, we toured Sun Studio where many great musical talent emerged from.

First trip to Memphis. Came to see Graceland.
First trip to Memphis. Came to see Graceland. Booked hotel online. Probably would not have stayed there if just driving by. Didn’t appear to be best neighborhood. But location was close to Graceland. The staff was wonderful. There was gated parking which kind of scared me thinking I needed it but thankful they had it. Breakfast was wonderful! There is a Mexican restaurant in adjoining parking lot. Very good, again kind of scared me that they used a hand scanner to check for weapons before you go in. Hotel offered shuttle to Graceland which we used , very handy. We did not take in any other attractions in Memphis but loved our tour of Graceland. As far as the city, would probably not go back but showing my age. Too many people, too much traffic, I prefer National Parks and wildlife.

I was just passing thru for a day.
I was just passing thru for a day. The restaurant I was planning on visiting is downtown. I was not aware before arriving that most of downtown closes at 2-3 pm. Made for some changes needed for venturing out in the evening.
Breakfast was good and adequate to get you going for the day. The room was clean and big enough for 2 sharing. We had a great view over the Mississippi River. The hotel is a block from the "trolley " (tram) which goes down Main Street (and other places) and is cheap...US$2 for an all day pass. We stayed 3 nights which is more than enough time in Memphis. Downtown is a little "sad", however if you get out into the suburbs there are some beautiful properties. The Staff were excellent and helpful.
My boyfriend and I love going into the city every other weekend to enjoy the downtown vibes of Memphis. Our first stay at this hotel made our trip more pleasurable than usual. The restaurant and bar stayed open until 12 AM. Our favorite quality was the fact that hotel was within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to be including Beale St. The bed was super comfy and the room was quite spacious. Staff was also very courteous and friendly. We have already rebooked for our next stay.
I always love staying at the Super 8 downtown Memphis. Great location without the downtown traffic and they have plenty of free parking. This hotel is located right next to the bank of the Mississippi river with a beautiful grassy area with gigantic magnolia trees just perfect for a picnic. Pets are welcome here and it's moderately priced. There is a shuttle to Beale Street and several terrific restaraunts that deliver. We love it!
Bright, spacious, modern and airy room. I wasn't expecting the standard to be so high actually so very pleasantly suprised. Offers value for money. Ammenities were excellent. Breakfast while limited was fine. Parking available. Centrally located, it's about a 10 minute walk to the Peabody Hotel, 15 mins to Beale Street.
The room was exceptionally clean. My towels were brand new. The room had been sanitized prior to my stay. The hotel was very safe and secure. The hotel is close to food and shopping adjacent Wolfchase Galleria. Walmart is around the corner. This is the best location to stay if visiting Memphis, everything is convenient.
Beautifully curated hotel - excellent taste in interior design. Fantastic attention to detail (room key holder was a notebook with information on the property, the city etc), excellent bar, lounge room, DJ and what excellent idea the music in the room was! Outstanding accoustics, very comfy stay and excellent location!
My spouse and I traveled to Memphis to see the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. The hotel was conveniently located to the Museum and to Beale Street. We were able to park our car in a secured area. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was excellent, and our room was spotlessly cleaned.
A large hotel in the centre of Memphis. Very comfortable sized room with great beds and a rather small bathroom. The main thing that sets this hotel apart from others is the duck parade to the fountain in the middle of the hotel. I did find the hotel overpriced particularly the food and drink options.
The location is great..close to Beale street and the river and within walking distance of many of the attractions in Memphis
We walked to the Peabody to see the duck march and to Sun studios
There is a multi story car park across the road.
We got an Uber from the hotel to Graceland
Everything, the location is perfect for graceland, but also everything around Memphis is in good driving distance. Rooms are beautiful, the hotel is stunningly designed (the attention to detail is incredible). The nightly movie is fantastic. The pool and garden area are lovely.
The hotel location is ideal to get to all the main attractions in Memphis. It's also close to Beale and walking distance to Sun Studio. We never felt unsafe in the hotel area. The restaurant in the hotel has good breakfast and dinners and the hotel staff were very helpful.
The location of the property was good for visiting downtown Memphis (Beale Street, Peabody Hotel, etc). The property was an older brick building that is under renovation. The rooms were large and the kitchen was well equipped. Parking was available off street.
I absolutely loved this hotel, it was a super central location for visiting Memphis. The staff were lovely, the only thing I might have noticed that they were maybe a little understaffed! The breakfast was simple but very tasty. The bed was extremely comfy.
I liked that the hotel is right next to Graceland. I also like that we weren't right in downtown Memphis and the airport was a short drive away. The hotel is beautiful, our room was clean, and staff was very friendly. I also love the Elvis theme!
i loved the shower in the room. they had a nice pool area and the view from our room was amazing. you could see the river and the memphis bridge. the hotel was conveniently located by food places and a perfect distance to the river side
loved everything, the rooms, facilities, the coffee place to relax and have breakfast, a really cool, beautiful and comfortable hotel in the heart of Memphis, just across the Civil Rights Museum.
