North Charleston had a great variety of things to do.
North Charleston had a great variety of things to do. My family and I visited several museums and checked out many sites and a park. I didn't get to see everything I had on my itinerary due to a day of raining, but I was able find indoor activities to do.

A must visit for history buffs.
A must visit for history buffs. Staying in the Historic District allowed us to walk everywhere which was very convenient. Take advantage of the bus tours offered (we used Gray Line) to get a 'lay of the land' first. Very expensive, but we expected that.

Beautiful historic buildings.
Beautiful historic buildings. Has become too crowded with both people and stores. Cruise ship port does not help. The city’s sidewalks are so narrow a couple has to walk single file or on the curb when passing anyone. No room for restaurant or cafe eating on street. No or few trash cans on streets. Public bathrooms almost nowhere except down by Battery. City was great years ago but it has gone down hill. Nice for a one time trip and we used to live in North Charleston many years ago. The St Patrick’s parade that enticed us was pitiful. One bagpipe band and no others.

Wonderful area to visit.
Wonderful area to visit. We loved the charming downtown and historic sites. The carriage ride tour was professional and informative. We visited Magnolia Plantation was a highlight. Our hotel in an older building was wonderful with excellent accommodations and a service oriented staff
I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The cleanliness, staff, great location to downtown Charleston, the battery, market's. Room was exceptionally clean. Pool and BBQ very relaxing. Breakfast was above average and geared towards Adult's as well as children. Facilities exceptionally clean. The only thing about this location is you don't have any view of the Charleston vibes because it's in an industrial multiple hotel complexes to choose from.
Marion and Lori and their staff created a wonderful experience from the start. Communication is superb, their welcome, their service, their attention to detail, the hospitality was first class. 86 Cannon is perfect for a vacation in Charleston.
We used the bikes for an easy cycle downtown to explore the historic sites, their restaurant recommendations were superb.
We will definitely come back.
The hotel was clean & the staff friendly. The location is located in a built up area near lots of restaurants and shops, but not near downtown Charleston. Obviously if you want near downtown, you’re going to pay for that convenience. Breakfast is offered at the hotel, but to me, pricey. We would definitely stay there again.
Location was great! Close to airport and could be downtown Charleston and great beaches in 30 minutes.
Front desk staff and breakfast staff very helpful and friendly and it was very clean. Good value for price.
They also are only hotel in that group that has a free airport shuttle! Very nice driver.
fantastic location right in the heart of downtown Charleston, close to the market, Kings Street and plenty of restaurants. breakfast was great, good variety and very friendly staff. Rooms were well equipped and a good size. The Inn offers wine and nibbles at 4-5 everyday which was great
The location of this hotel is unbeatable for proximity to tourist sites and scenic views, including Marion Square just across the street. Much of what you might want to see in downtown Charleston is within walking distance. The city and water views from my room were gorgeous.
I like the location overlooking the river and able to see downtown Charleston. It is a very tall Hotel. The pool was nice the place is very clean. There is a dinner location at the very top that would be very romantic overlooking everything. Did not have time to eat there
I’ve stayed here a few times now. It’s the most affordable hotel in the historic district and it’s right downtown. It feels very safe too. If you’re going to explore downtown Charleston this hotel is in the perfect spot and will save you some money.
e easy access to historic district with free dash bus stopping right next to hotel . luggage storage provided. nearby grocery store. lovely bed with great pillows. Pool( noticed pool hoist) + fitnesscentre + Ice close to our room on 3rd floor
We loved the location. It wasn't too far to downtown Charleston. The hotel breakfast was hot and delicious. The staff was really nice. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, They have complimentary drinks and snacks in the room when we arrived.
The location is convenient and the hotel is easy to locate. The grounds are well maintained with mature trees. The area is safe. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to the heart of downtown Charleston.
Great location just outside of Charleston. Sophisticated hotel with clean room and beautiful common area where every need the traveller can have is taken care of. Great breakfast. Dog friendly.
