Eugene is a college town, and we chose to go on road trips instead of staying in town. If there are games going on, it can be quite hectic to try and get around the city. There are covered bridges to go and see in Cottage Grove, as well as waterfalls and other hikes to partake in in Cottage Grove and outside Eugene.

I will never go to Eugene in the winter again! So cold!
I will never go to Eugene in the winter again! So cold! And the rain never stopped for our entire stay. And the day we had planned to leave, I-5 was expected to be closed over Siskiyou Pass due to snow and high winds. We left a day early and drove home via the long route, over to 101 and then down the coast. Temp never got above 45 degrees and the rain never stopped, but at least we didn't have to deal with snow. If you need to go to Oregon, schedule it for the summer when it is actually quite pleasant.

It was good to tour the campus although we were there for a wedding. It was sad to see the homeless on the streets. Other than football and sports, I don't know what anyone would do on vacation. A trip to the winery was fun. Eugene is not for us.

Classic college town with a clear progressive and liberal tilt.
The scent of pot being smoke was not uncommon.
The city streets were CLEAN and there were very walkable sidewalks on most city streets.
I saw signs of a concerted public assistance to homeless populations rather than the constant conflict between the haves and the have-nots in Seattle.
I only spent one day but I would have liked to spend more to explore its nooks and crannies.

My family always loves staying in Eugene.
My family always loves staying in Eugene. We travel to the Ducks football games around three to four times at least every season. My family enjoys the location of the Hayward Inn because it is the perfect location for sporting events and amazing restaurants. We love the walk to Autzen Stadium from the hotel as well.

There are too many places to visit to list but we visited the the Knights Arena for the Toto and Journey Concert and it was a blast. The malls are always full of great shops. Downtown during the summer has Saturday markets that are so fun to visit sorry that it was the wrong time of year for us to visit. 5th street Market and Oakstreet Mall are always a favorite.
Where to start..the rooms are incredibly clean and have everything you need to feel comfortable during your stay, it’s in a great location close to food, grocery stores and the airport, being a solo traveler I have felt safe every time I have stayed here, and the family that owns the property is the absolute best. They are sweet and friendly and make you feel at home when here, no one else I would rather give my business to in Eugene.
I’ve stayed here multiple times and it’s my go to place to stay in Eugene now. The front desk is always very nice and helpful, check in is quick and easy, and the rooms are always clean and welcoming with comfortable beds. Rooms aren’t too expensive and it’s in a nice central location with many interesting spots within a 30 minute walk. Best of all, it’s about 3 blocks from Blairalley, my main reason for being in Eugene typically.
Absolutely disgusting as far as cleanliness and staff goes. The manager is illegally renting out rooms month-to month. She is obviously on drugs and doesn't care about her job or place to stay for that matter or else she would look into month to month leasing. Not that it would matter though because it is technically still COVID so month to month leasing in a hotel is 100% illegal.
This house is very comfortable, clean and specious. It was perfect for two families. Bedrooms were big, the beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked, and there was lots of room to rest, socialize, and it had a lovely work area as well. The only regret was that we were staying there only one night. Book it now, you won't be disappointed.
We love this quiet inn near the river path park with easy access for walking and biking. The decor is fresh and lovely, the spaces clean and welcoming. We especially appreciate access to a full kitchen and dining area as well as a bike storage room. The owners are friendly, responsive, and take really good care of this lovely place. We will return!
The staff was so kind. They also added a fridge (which our reservation said would be in the room). Only problem was the unreal price of $341, which every hotel in town charged (at least that) because of the World Track Championships in Eugene.
The normal price for our room, at another time, would've been $80 according to your staff.
Motel was renovated last year from top to bottom by new owners and re-named. So ignore any old, bad reviews. The quality of the furnishings and fittings is excellent, and the style and design of the room I stayed in could not really be faulted. Great free snacks and drinks in-room. Highly recommended.... apart from...
Decor was amazing. Room was so cool, floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows were truly awesome, view was amazing, nice bathroom products, nice coffee and tea kettle in room. Bed was clean and comfy. Telephone was retro. Lamps were very cool. Everything in the room was so cute and picture worthy.
I chose this hotel for its proximity to the airport. I was impressed with how clean and quiet the room was, and the adaptability of its staff. (The building was being remodeled and there was no lobby to check in, but the receptionist met me in the parking lot with all necessary check-in items.)
Nice hotel in a central location in downtown Eugene. Rooms are spacious and clean, with fridge and microwave. Pool and gym are fine - I used both. Restaurants and small grocery store right around hotel. Downstairs seating area is comfortable and spacious and could use a bit of cleaning.
The location is fantastic for the University of Oregon (slightly further from downtown Portland). Room was fine - spacious and with all the amenities and more you would expect in a budget hotel. Some wonderful walks across the river.
Staff was friendly and helpful with taxi service prior to arrival. Close to downtown and University of Oregon. Much cheaper than hotels that increased their rates due to special events. Large mini fridge and microwave in room.
loved the location of the property not far from university and it’s connected to the mall and many aging areas walking distance from all rooms
wet spacious but old and out dated along with the entire hotel
The property seemed new, was easy to find, and is just East of downtown Eugene. The lobby is friendly and has some games, billiards, and a television. The room was very clean as well!
The place is new and everything is fresh. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The pool was very nice. Breakfast was ok. Check out lady was nice.
Great location and close to airport, very clean room newly renovated, staff friendly and helpful, safe area....what more could you ask for on a budget!!
