We stayed in the top floor room, it had an incredible view, the cutest little bathroom with a clawfoot cast iron tub. We had a great time. The location was a perfect walk to all the local shops.

I liked that it was a smoking room. I liked that the room was clean and the bedding was washed. Also I liked the many channels on your cable television.

We decided to do a touristy weekend, came over form Portland. We found the perfect breakfast spot, very inexpensive and SO good! The Riverwalk Restaurant, the biscuits and gravy are to die for. Our favorite seafood place is South Bay Wild Fish House. We love walking the streets and going into all the groovy little shops. Took the Underground Tour this time which was so fun! Visited the Astoria Column which was so interesting and the scenery from the ground and the top of the column was breathtaking. The climb up the column had me out of breath so caution if you have medical issues or are just plain out of shape like me. My grandson and I went bowling at Lower Columbia Bowl when a beachside fire was out of the question for grandpa lol . Had a blast! We love Astoria!!

Love the antique and unique shops on Commercial in downtown Astoria. Toured the Flavel House, which I definitely recommend. Found a funky sportsbar called the MerryTime which serves giant juicy burgers. Love the sound of the seals and the maritime feel of Astoria.

Astoria is a busy place, lots to do.
Astoria is a busy place, lots to do. We went down to spend time with young grandchildren and took a good friend and his son. Booking.com advertises This motel at $60 a night and it was $175 a night so we could not stay as long as we would have liked. I think misrepresentation like this is a crime and I felt cheated.. The motel blamed the price change on Booking.com.

The hotel location was super.
The hotel location was super. We were within walking distance of a few restaurants. We ate at the Bridgewater Bay Bistro only a couple of minutes walk. The fresh caught halibut was wonderfully tasty. We also ate at a local Mexican restaurant, El Tiapatio, (10-minute walk) from hotel. The restaurant was colorful and food and drinks were great. Many locals were also dining there. The riverwalk is directly in front of the hotel. There is some construction on it, so it was not as accessible as it might have been. The Trolley is running only from 1-4 pm. Museums are a 30-35 minute walk from the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the Heritage Museum with history of Astoria.
Great location only a couple of blocks to downtown. A wonderful bakery and brewery are a block away. We walked to the Astoria Column. It is only a mile but it is ascending the whole way. We very much appreciated they have a dedicated locked bike storage closet. We had just completed the Trans America route from Yorktown, VA to Astoria and it was great to know our tandem was secure. We also liked both the kitchen and common areas. Everything was really comfortable. Larry, the owner gave me rags and let me use the hose to clean my bike.
The breakfast met all of my benchmarks for a hotel breakfast. The ham was bad. I had to throw it away. But, I love the bisquits and gravy format. I make a waffle and add gravy and egg on top. I should have used the hardboiled eggs which are a must for this dish but I got lazy and regr egged it. The fake eggs were a no also. but, The basics were there, along with fresh fruit, yogurt oatmeal cereal and juice. I would come back. We really apreciated our early check in.
I love the Norblad Hotel. It's got a cozy ambiance in the centre of Astoria: you can walk to everything! For this trip I stayed in the King Suite, and it has all the comforts you'd expect, with a corner view of the city: huge windows! The private bathroom is a huge perk, with a very nice shower and sink. There was a little fridge in the suite, and we borrowed a record player for the weekend from the front desk. I highly recommend this to everyone!
The bed was comfortable, pet area was close to the room, breakfast was real not a bagged breakfast and during the pandemic that was a nice surprise. The Astoria river walk runs behind the building so there was a wonderful flat without cars, for a place to take a walk. This is where the trolley runs also but was closed during our stay. The pet rooms are downstairs but I still had a view of the river.
Such a lovely, welcoming space! Parker Landing was the perfect place for a getaway in Astoria. We were in Stateroom #2. The property is right on the water and we loved waking up to the views. Comfortable living areas, quiet surroundings, modern appliances, and well equipped kitchen. The hosts were responsive to questions and provided a truly relaxing retreat.
We got in kind of late, but Vicky was very inviting, helpful and courteous. You can tell she’s been doing this for a long time! The beds were comfortable the breakfast was great, and I made a great experience for us. We’ve always stayed at other hotel chains, but I think that this was the determining factor to stay in choice motels more often.
This place is FANTASTIC!!!! My 1 day work trip turned into 3 nights added nightly at the very last second because of the ice storm this weekend 1/12/24-1/15/24 I was warm, cozy, and safe. Thank you to this little gem of Astoria. I will never stay anywhere else! Thank you so much for being so quick to update things for me!!
I loved the location at Pier 39! Coffee Girl and Rogue Public House a walk out the pier and the Astoria walking trail right out the water side of the hotel! Beautiful views and super comfy bed! Literally the best night sleep I've had in as long as I can remember!
Bowline is really quite special - the location and view over the river is incredible. The curation of products, food, drink and furniture is really exceptional and works oh so well in the surroundings of Astoria.
The room was great and a proper treat.
It has fridge in room and microwave and Keurig coffee maker. Beautiful view of Columbia River and Astoria. I sat at the table in front of window and enjoyed my coffee. It also has big old claw foot tub bathroom. My husband enjoyed that.
The view of the harbor from our balcony was superb. The size of the room was adequate. The location was close to the heart of Astoria and the other attractions around the area. Traveling to the other nearby towns was easily accessible.
This hotel is above some of the other more expensive hotels in the area, as far as cleanliness and maintenance. For what I am doing in the area, it is the perfect overnight stay!
Conveniently located in the heart of Astoria with easy access to shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel is clean, and the staff is super welcoming, friendly and helpful!
Liked the view of the Columbia River and Astoria/Megler Bridge. Near the boardwalk walking path that runs along side the river. Cable TV worked and room was very clean.
