Love the antique and unique shops on Commercial in downtown Astoria. Toured the Flavel House, which I definitely recommend. Found a funky sportsbar called the MerryTime which serves giant juicy burgers. Love the sound of the seals and the maritime feel of Astoria.

Astoria is a busy place, lots to do.
Astoria is a busy place, lots to do. We went down to spend time with young grandchildren and took a good friend and his son. Booking.com advertises This motel at $60 a night and it was $175 a night so we could not stay as long as we would have liked. I think misrepresentation like this is a crime and I felt cheated.. The motel blamed the price change on Booking.com.

The hotel location was super.
The hotel location was super. We were within walking distance of a few restaurants. We ate at the Bridgewater Bay Bistro only a couple of minutes walk. The fresh caught halibut was wonderfully tasty. We also ate at a local Mexican restaurant, El Tiapatio, (10-minute walk) from hotel. The restaurant was colorful and food and drinks were great. Many locals were also dining there. The riverwalk is directly in front of the hotel. There is some construction on it, so it was not as accessible as it might have been. The Trolley is running only from 1-4 pm. Museums are a 30-35 minute walk from the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the Heritage Museum with history of Astoria.

The bed was horrible! It hurt my hips and back.
The bed was horrible! It hurt my hips and back. They need to upgrade them. Please go back to cleaning the rooms, we should not have to ask for towels and be treated like we shouldn't be asking for more, even though we're staying more than one day.
This location is surreal and breathtaking. Astoria, the tankers and ships floating by, and the harbor seals made the experience totally unique. The harbor is absolutely beautiful. The hotel was cozy and welcoming and the staff went above and beyond when they found out my father in law was dying and on a “last trip.” We took him here bc the waterside balcony was the closet thing to a cruise we could get. This hotel is so memorable. I hope I get to come back and see the town more!
The breakfast met all of my benchmarks for a hotel breakfast. The ham was bad. I had to throw it away. But, I love the bisquits and gravy format. I make a waffle and add gravy and egg on top. I should have used the hardboiled eggs which are a must for this dish but I got lazy and regr egged it. The fake eggs were a no also. but, The basics were there, along with fresh fruit, yogurt oatmeal cereal and juice. I would come back. We really apreciated our early check in.
The room was very clean. Nothing fancy, but it came with free wifi, a small fridge and microwave. It is within walking distance to 2 fast food places, the Astoria bridge, the riverwalk, and the shops on Commercial street. The staff was friendly. If you are looking for an economical and convenient place to stay, then I recommend this place.
This place is FANTASTIC!!!! My 1 day work trip turned into 3 nights added nightly at the very last second because of the ice storm this weekend 1/12/24-1/15/24 I was warm, cozy, and safe. Thank you to this little gem of Astoria. I will never stay anywhere else! Thank you so much for being so quick to update things for me!!
Apparently this classic hotel was refurbished in the 2000's and they did a fabulous job with new everything. The beds are comfortable, the showers are good, and the hotel has style. The breakfast is hot and cooked by a person not the made up food you'll get at a chain. It's luxury from the 1930s updated.
The view of the river and Astoria bridge. There's a cute little spot to be on the beach, behind the hotel. Though it is a rocky climb down.
The breakfast had a little variety.
The pool was clean and it had bromine in it, so it didn't have the strong scent of chlorine. It was kinda salty.
The view was beautiful and the hotel felt very modern. The complimentary wine and appetizer plate was great to help us settle in after our long journey. The bartender, Piotr was fantastic and a pleasure to talk to.
The croissants at breakfast were fresh baked and delicious
I loved the location at Pier 39! Coffee Girl and Rogue Public House a walk out the pier and the Astoria walking trail right out the water side of the hotel! Beautiful views and super comfy bed! Literally the best night sleep I've had in as long as I can remember!
Room was Clean and matched my expectations per the price, which was affordable and not overpriced like many of the other hotels in the area. The Hot water, whether tap or Shower was awesome. Overall room size met my needs for the one night I stayed.
It has fridge in room and microwave and Keurig coffee maker. Beautiful view of Columbia River and Astoria. I sat at the table in front of window and enjoyed my coffee. It also has big old claw foot tub bathroom. My husband enjoyed that.
The view of the harbor from our balcony was superb. The size of the room was adequate. The location was close to the heart of Astoria and the other attractions around the area. Traveling to the other nearby towns was easily accessible.
Cool hotel with very good vibe. They let you check out a turntable to bring in your room and play their records. It has a good blend of down to earth scandinavian and hipster. Awesome place and it's close to tons of cool spots.
This property offers uniqueness. It’s for sure not the cookie cutter type property of big chain hotels. The views from our room were very nice, especially the Astoria bridge at sunset.
What's not to like! This is such a cool & quirky hotel and it gives you a STUNNING view of the bridge! I love the vibe, the staff were great and the atmosphere was absolutely awesome
Great area, street parking. Felt safe walking around. Cool vibe in the hotel with very friendly staff. Room was large and clean. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
