The location is great. Walked everywhere we wanted to go.
The location is great. Walked everywhere we wanted to go. Even to our daughters apartment. For December, the weather was perfect to walk to local restaurants and bars.
A must place to try in the B A O restaurant. The food was amazing and the Udon noodles were soooo good. We also like Sushi Ai. All you can eat sushi for a reasonable price, and also has something on the menu for those who want something else.
We didn't eat at 801 Steak house this trip, but it is definitely a must try if you're looking for fine dining. Our next visit we'd like to try the 801 Fish House.

The staff was very friendly.
The staff was very friendly. The hotel lobby was beautiful and included a grand piano! It feels like walking into an old movie! Nice restaurant inside the hotel and the room was spacious and clean and included amenities that made the stay pleasurable. Close to downtown St. Louis but far enough away too. Clayton is a beautiful suburb with amazing architecture.

Not having a crib available for our baby after telling us in an email 2 days prior to our trip that they would have a crib was a huge disappointment. No parents are happy to have their newborn sleep in a stroller for the night.

I loved the fact that the room was recently updated with features like great lighting and electronic shower controls in the bathroom. Room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The area around the hotel felt very safe -- you are in a nice neighborhood, near a small business district with several office buildings. If you are driving, be sure to park next to the front door to check in, then go to the parking lot. It's a bit inconvenient to get to the front desk if you park in the lot before check-in.

Clayton is a near-west suburb of St.
Clayton is a near-west suburb of St. Louis, about 7 miles west of downtown. It is the hub of St. Louis' "Financial District," a somewhat unusual suburban location. Clayton has many restaurants and is walkable. It has a Metro station, which connects it to Lambert International Airport and downtown, including the Arch and other attractions along the way. My experience is that Clayton is safe, clean, and comfortable, though it lacks amenities such as a grocery store in its center.
Breakfast was awesome!! Apparently when they have a lot of guests it’s a buffet, but when the hotel is not super full guests order off the menu. Both were good, but we preferred ordering from the menu so we could get omelets. No fresh fruit which was the only bad thing about breakfast. The pool was nice and warm and had plenty of towels. Night manager was super helpful. Bedding and towels were good quality. Super comfortable beds!
I chose this hotel because it was less expensive than others in the Clayton area, but the experience was just as nice as at a more expensive hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There was a nice breakfast buffet with a variety of tasty choices. It was served in the restaurant, so guests eat at a booth or table, which is nice. The staff were all nice enough.
A very pleasant stay at the Clayton Plaza Hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was freshly made everyday and delicious. All the facilities that the hotel offered was cleaned daily. The location was in a very safe neighborhood and just a walk away from a variety of very good restaurants. A very nice hotel for a family!
Stayed here on a business trip. Very nice hotel. Really liked that there were actual mugs and glasses in the room. Finally some hotels are working on reducing waste and single use plastic!
Great coffee in the room and plenty of it.
Beautiful outdoor pool and many dinning options in walking distance.
The food was expensive and so was the hotel. But the pool was beautiful and having poolside waitstaff was wonderful. The restaurant was also very good and the staff were very accomadating. The gym was gorgous and the ILLY coffee in the room along with ceramic cups was a bonus. Bed very comfortable.
The area that this hotel is in is very nice (Clayton); kind of a rich, upscale suburban neighborhood of St. Louis with a little downtown that has lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The pool and workout room were great. Our room was spacious and had a nice sink area outside of the bathroom.
e best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms (there was even a tv by the shower), and high quality service.
The rooms are spacious, nice and clean. Staff is great and the breakfast buffet offers a variety of food. The hotel is close to the metro station, which is a nice way tl move to downtown St Louis.
everything was perfect….the rooms, the food, the staff. our entire stay exceeded our expectations. this hotel is on par with any hotel we have ever stayed at.
