The area was beautiful. Each little town had different kinds of stores to enjoy. One could drive around all day just enjoying the beauty. Definitely need GPS in this area as the trees block everything but with GPS it was enjoyable.

I stopped only to spend the night on way to the coast so did not visit any sights in Deerfield but we ordered dinner - pizza and calzones - from the most awesome local pizza place next to the railroad tracks - Holiday Pizza.

My family and I love coming to south Deerfield at least twice a year. There is so much to do here. We visit the Yankee Candel Village where every room is decorated differently and has it's own unique twist. They have santas workshop that children love to visit with toys and a station to writ to santa. Right around the holidays they have santa come off a helicopter and your kids can get pictures with santa and sing some Carol's with him. Then we also visit the butterfly sanctuary which is another unique place to visit with all kinds of butterflies flying around and if you stand still they might land on you. They have room where they have reptiles and other little animals you can look at and a garden you can walk through. We also go to Mt. Sugar loaf park and drive up the mountain to the top to see the whole town of south deerfield. What beautiful views are up there. We go to Richard candys and chocolate store where they hand make all their chocolates on site. We always grab a bit to eat at Wolfies who has a homies feel and some great food!

The check in process was terrible.
The check in process was terrible. The staff made my family sit outside for 4 hours; despite having my credit card on file, the staff refused to charge the card. Never had his issue before with any other hotel. Would not stay here again.

It was close to University of Massachusetts Amherst campus.
It was close to University of Massachusetts Amherst campus. Nothing great about the hotel that seemed more like a motel. The room was clean but the cleaning staff didn't empty the trash on the first day from the bathroom.

My family & I were very pleased with our stay. We were attending graduation at UMass Amherst and the location was perfect! The complimentary coffee and snacks & drinks that came with our room were enjoyed. The staff was very pleasant and was very helpful returning an item I left in the room after check out. Although a little pricey (most likely due to graduation and holiday weekend) I was happy to find this hotel & would recommend booking.
Very convenient location, and the room was clean. We upgraded to premium and got a snack box, which was a nice touch. Staff was very friendly and accommodating! The bed was comfortable, even though it was a spring mattress. Not a fancy hotel by any means, but it was great for what it was. We will definitely book here again!
THE ROOM WAS CLEAN .
Even though was a large party of guests (in the same section as me) occupying 8 rooms , at night was quiet and it seems the expectations were set to those guests . other hotels i have been , i see a bus , wedding , or other large group means no sleep for me . but not here , it was quiet all night.
The space looks a little more modern than other places where we stayed. They gave us a snack box which was nice and the staff was nice. The bed was comfortable and the room looked pretty clean, which we greatly appreciated after our last hotel stay. You can tell the hotel is pretty old though but not terrible.
Location met our needs. Bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. Towels were musty. Pet friendly hotel- hallways smell like pets. Area rug in room needs to be replaced. Coffee area in lobby needs a redo- get rid of coffee mate and put real milk there. Front desk staff very helpful.
had a pool, we did not use though. the room was clean, check in was easy enough. it has a cheap hotel feel but the prices aren't what i'd call cheap either. overall the value wasn't there, but it was a clean room to sleep in for the night.
Location was near everything we wanted and needed to access. It was quiet and we were not disturbed at all by sound during our stay despite being near two highways and also the hotel allowing pets.
