I loved the whole hotel the impressive view amazing everything
Comfy room, clean and modern with friendly staff. Booked in advance, was quoted $186 tax included. But, at check-in I was notified that it cost $25 per day, per parking spot and a $75 fee that would be returned (5 to 7 days) after checkout. Plus they wanted $20 per person for breakfast. Total: $326 for 2 people for one night. Nice place, but won't spend that to stay there again.

It's in a good location for Cambridge, and even not far from Boston amenities. It is NOT right near Harvard campus, though, if that's what you're looking for ... but not far.
The facility is fine - an inn, not a hotel, but with room amenities of a hotel.

If you walk to Harvard, you can enjoy watching red leaves on the way.
As Harvard square is a walking distance, shopping, sightseeing and joining conference are very convenient. You can enjoy Continental and sophisticated atmosphere because the University of Harvard is very near.

Cambridge is much nicer than Boston, and the Harvard Campus is wonderful to walk around, with big trees and lots of open spaces. There are good restaurants too - we really enjoyed The Druid Irish pub. There is also a lot to see and do. Two days was too short to go to everything we wanted to visit.

Excellent hotel, comfortable rooms, with a beautiful view. The area is very safe and quiet, relatively close to the center and the airport. The indoor pool is very nice. There is a coffee shop on the first floor that sells Starbucks products. The rooms with very comfortable beds, excellent coffee as well as a spacious safe. Excellent hotel.

Isabell Gradner Museum is a random collection of things by a person with lots of money but no taste - skip it.
Unfortunately, some T (subway/tram) lines do not operate on weekends – otherwise, public trasnport is excelent for an American city.
Legal seafood is a must for seafood lovers and there are good cart dim-sum places in town.
The Kimpton Marlowe hotel its beautiful! The lobby, the rooms, the bar, the restaurant, ALL of it. I wish they sell the fragrance they use in the lobby, it smells luxurious and divine! The location is unbeatable. We went to Boston to spend a few days with our son and his college (Hult business school) is at 10 minutes walking distance, it also has a mall at 2 minutes walking distance. The mall is called Cambridgeside where u can find H&M, ATT, TMobile, Bank of America, Tjmaxx, Cvs, super convenient. The hotel is pet friendly which i love!!
Marc was an excellent host, super friendly, and always ready to help. There was a diverse sort of food and drinks available for breakfast and on top of that, Chef Marc cooked delicious food every day for his guests. The house has a very quiet environment and an excellent location at 15 mins walk from MIT. There are also close subway stations and blue bike docks to facilitate commuting to Boston or Harvard. Good value for money when compared to most of the hotels in Cambridge / Boston. Would stay again!
Cambridge House Inn is a pleasant little hotel at an affordable price. The room was a good size, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were shops near by to buy breakfast and other meals and facilities to both keep food cold and be able to warm it up in the microwave oven. Furthermore, the hotel is located only five minutes walk from the Davies square train station. The surroundings seemed very safe. Finally wi-fi worked well.
I loved this hotel especially because of its location so near Harvard University, and the bounteous coffee machine choices in the lobby. The staff was very kind and even helped me switch rooms at one point because of a phone issue, and they were always very friendly. They also provided me with some refrigerator space for some leftovers that I had from one night of dining. Great place to spend a couple of nights.
Hotel 1868 is really great! It's right opposite the Porter metro station and there are plenty of restaurants nearby (towards Harvard or Davis Sq). The staff were young and really friendly. My room was fantastic: spacious and modern with an enclosed balcony type window over the street. The bathroom was above average and the bed was comfortable. There was a desk for working and the WiFi was fast. A great stay.
I liked the fact that it was a home away from home. I was with my family and it was perfect for our 14 day stay as we could cook and live like we are home. the laundry facility where perfect. the gym and the hotel is not far from the Boston Mall and a free shuttle is available.
Great hotel , nice staff , Cambridge Commons has awesome food , porter Square has a amazing Asian food that's more then good , pizza on Mass Ave is legit, Jamaican food in allston is top notch , Korea corn dogs in allston are unique and cool , fun place
The king suite is really comfortable, great bed and very good shower. Nice and helpful staff.
In case you're planning to visit Cambridge and Somerville in addition to Boston then the hotel's location is perfect.
This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. Rooms are tiny, but if it's just 1 or 2 people, it's fine. Totally clean, comfortable, etc. Restaurants/shopping/grocery store/T stop are all really nearby.
Good staff, clean hotel and very comfortable bed. Relatively low price when compared to similar offerings in Boston. Very close to the red line subway stop so easy to reach downtown Boston.
The reception staff was amazing and very welcoming. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel is well located, very close to Cambridge center and not too far from city center.
The hotel is located very well if you have business in Cambridge. It's clean, room bed and bath a great, however my room had a little special odor when I came in.
