Quiet college town. Great breakfast places but ow on restaurants. Lots of breweries if that your mojo. Most of the breweries served food as well. Bangor however is close by and is flush with choices of places to eat.

University Inn was a great place to stay after arriving in Bangor. The staff was welcoming and room was clean and nice. There was wine and cheese in the lobby when we arrived around 6pm so that was a nice surprise. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Breakfast was really good excellent. The bed was comfy but I was put in a non renovated part.I thought I would of had the room I paid for on the web s I re but never g o t that room but still was happy they came out with a wheel chair to help me get to my room after I had surgery. Only thing I was upset with the night clerk she couldn't get me a extra pillow I was so in pain couldn't sleep till 5am.i was upset with her. I've never had this issue with any other hotels. That upsetted me a lot
Shame on her.
The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and I love the Maine feeling it gives. Our only issue was that the floor above us was very noisy because of the hardwood floor. The guests above us seemed to be pacing late into evening and actually woke us up from sleep! I nearly resorted to alerting the staff to address the noise, but thankfully it subsided. The staff was so friendly and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.. I would just probably request the top floor. Thank you! 😊
The hotel was beside Stillwater River, which was lovely. Our room looked right over the River and was very relaxing. It was clean and had really comfortable beds. The breakfast was decent. The cleaning staff was friendly and efficient. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave, although the microwave was defective.
Clean property with modern facilities. The views were as described and it is located in residential neighborhood, walkable to local shops and places to eat and drink. No noise contamination from the restaurants and breweries, the latter of which are a plenty in Orono.
Hotel was nice and clean, in a safe area. Housekeeping staff were friendly and as helpful as they were allowed to be. They gave us a late checkout, which was appreciated.
Super friendly and welcoming staff
Clean and cozy room
Nice location
Willing to revisit whenever I have a chance to come to the Acadia area
Highly recommend!!
