Beautiful area, with a lot to explore.

Beautiful area, with a lot to explore. My schedule only allowed 1/2 day. I would recommend visiting mid-week, NOT during Spring break. I rented a kayak for 3 hours from Hunter Springs Kayaks (highly recommend them!), with the intention of swimming with manatees. I only saw 1 manatee while swimming, plus a couple more from the kayak, since it was late in the season for seeing manatees. Next time I'll plan on visiting earlier in the season, midweek

Swimming with manatees was great.we stayed at the plantation hotel which was worse than motel 6.it was very deceiving because the exterior was nice but the rooms were dirty and dated-would not stay there again..

Crystal River is an adorable little beach town full of nature loving people, artists, veterans, and retirees. We had a wonderful time there snorkeling with manatees, boating, kayaking, and exploring Heritage Village. Highly recommended for a long weekend trip.

Three sisters spring was very nice saw a lot of manatees and the trails were nice. Parking was limited. Kayak rental was pricey and not worth it. We did see manatees but the bay was crowded the water murky until you got near the springs. Would not recommend kayaking in the bay and channels. There are much better places to kayak . If you love seafood eat at the Crab Plant. Casual dining with great food and a big variety of fresh caught seafood.

Crystal River is the most beautiful little town we have ever visited. Everything is manatee-themed, even down to some of the streetlights! There are lots of things to do, especially if you love nature and wildlife. Scalloping, hiking, swimming with manatees, and kayaking just to name a few. There are also lots of great dining options available, especially the seafood! It is a cultural hotspot as well, with lots of murals, galleries, museums, and historical sites to see. We will definitely be back and hope to stay longer next time.

    The best birthday vacation.

The best birthday vacation. Main goal was to snorkel with manatees. Was able to pack a lot of activities into each day since towns are so close together. The best place for outdoor activities and water activities. Lots of history. Many parks and trails for walking. hiking, or biking. The locals are so nice and engaging. They make you feel welcome, and the few times I drove anywhere I did not encounter impatient or rude drivers. They just move around you and ignore the pokey tourist. Such a nice place to visit and they make you feel safe there. And lots of fresh seafood!

Got to the hotel early d/t poor timing. For a little bit of extra money staff checked us into our room early, made sure we had everything we needed, and checked in on us throughout our stay. Staff were personable, kind, prompt, and made sure my daughters had an excellent stay. Hotel was centrally located to all springs and rivers in the area. Hotel was very clean, rooms were big, and beds/pillows were comfy. Breakfast was great loved the hot food, waffles, and cold substations. Will be staying here again.

It was right on the water. Our room had a back door and about 30 steps I was standing in their outdoor restaurant. The food was delicious. I got to try alligator bites for the first time and I loved them. It was a older hotel but well kept up. We stayed in several hotels in our 2755 mile motorcycle trip and this one by far was the best. We even took a walk through the tranquil community close by. This is the only hotel we stayed in I thought deserved my time to give a review.

The motel was within walking distance to crystal river and the motel had a secure room for storing our kayak, bikes, etc. The staff were more than accommodating. With the COVID restrictions, the staff were not able to provide the breakfast they normally would but they made sure there was fresh baked pastries delivered to our room every night.

Honestly, there was not much I did like. I guess it was better than sleeping in my car for the night, but at the price they charged for the value I received I would have seriously considered it. There are other options in town, like what looked like a newly built Best Western -- I should have just stayed there in hindsight.

Wonderful B&B by the water with kayaks to explore the area. Thematic and beautiful rooms with all amenities and gourmet coffee, outstanding tasty breakfast and best of all the most fantastic hosts. Beautiful views and sunrise from the veranda. We loved every minute and felt at home the minute we arrived.

The hotel was one of the better Holiday Inn expresses I've ever stayed in. The ladies at counter was pleasant and my 2 bedroom suite was just what I needed. I actually thought the hotel was brand new because of the ilook inside and out. People in the Lil town was just friendly.

The general area and people working in this general area are amazing, happy, and helpful. Even the staff at this property were great, just a really bad hotel. Thankfully the staff at the motel and booking let me cancel the next two nights I had previously booked.

What we did expect from a Hampton Inn is again correct. A good hotel with a good bed and mattress , a descent bathroom. A good breakfast. Thus the quality standard of the Hampton Inn hotels was largely atteint by this hotel.
