It’s a lovely historic building. Our executive suite (an upgrade we paid for) was very grand, with an entry foyer, a living room and a large bedroom. The floor carpet and living furniture needed to be replaced, as they were out of date and had seen better days. The rooftop restaurant was terrific.

We HAD TO change rooms: the first room was unbelievably noisy because of disfunctional airco and other loud apparatus on the roof. We go to Visalia for a convention. The home was not the blue cottage as there was a last minute problem with the dates we stayed at the Retro modern Home. It was lovely. Very roomy. Close to Convention Center and close to shopping. The Black Bear Diner was very close.

Nice place we stayed on our road trip heading to Sequoia...
Nice place we stayed on our road trip heading to Sequoia park. A little noisy because it was next to a main road, but ideal to get to and set off the next morning. The pool was nice and the area around it was lovely to relax after a long day of driving. It could be accessed by the back door of all the bedrooms and there were benches to sit on. Would go again. I don't think there were many cheaper options than this when we were searching.

Close to Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon. Visalia is a wonderful little town with fun diners and cafes. Good time diner is a 50’s theme restaurant with fabulous food at great prices. There is also Granny’s cafe with tasty breakfasts in an old time setting. Mama K’s is a very popular Resturant with the locals located in a stick yard auction building.

Stayed in Visalia to visit both Sequoia and Kings Canyon...
Stayed in Visalia to visit both Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Although it was a great hotel it was farther than expected to both parks. And, once you arrived at the park entrances, the drive in to the sites was very far. I would recommend staying in the parks if possible.
