Seal Beach is a small, suburban beach town. The downtown is charming, but not designed for high-traffic tourism. Very authentic local beach community--I grew up there and was visiting family. Long Beach is just north, and a much bigger, international city and Huntington (for surfing) and Laguna Beaches to the south are more touristy. Don't forget a
sweatshirt for the marine-layer in the morning and the cool nights!

We had never been to Seal Beach before and would definitely go again. It was close to the cruise we were going to the next morning. Lots of shops and places to eat. Enjoyed walking their pier and watching the ocean come to shore.

First time staying in Seal Beach in the month of January.
First time staying in Seal Beach in the month of January. The first two days the weather was cold and wet but of course our last day was sunny and warm. Main street is great to go to for food, fun and people watching. The beach is clean. The locals are very friendly. Number one spot for walking and riding a bike. Family friendly. Check out Junior Burrito across the street from the beach. Best Mexican food ever.

Seal Beach has been my favorite So Cal beach since I was a kid. It is clean and not overly crowded. The pier allows you to walk out and view the coast line, but you can also walk down the board walk too. I enjoyed eating at Creama on Main Street. Their outdoor patio is lovely, the service is excellent and the food fantastic. Excellent coffee. Walt's Wharf has good food, but a bit pricey.

I like the choices of going to the beach great restaurant choices and just the feel of strolling along the Main Street historic district with all of its shops
A seal beach restaurant Hangouts his outstanding I have been there several times although it's been probably 10 years since my last visit but it has not missed a beat it is still a great place to eat
I was disappointed that the majority of shots were close to even on the weekend Saturday a big shopping day and only about 25% of the shops were open even though every shop had a sign on their door announcing temporary hours during the covid-19 pandemic but so many shops were locked up and closed very disappointing if you put a sign on your door that you are open and you have temporary hours but then you just lock up the doors and stay closed completely in my book is a huge disappointment and false advertising
We were so impressed by this hotel. It was immaculately clean, the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming, plenty of free parking, a small pool and jacuzzi in an inner courtyard area, there was a wide range of options for the complimentary breakfast and thoughtful little extras like free tea and coffee all day and complimentary cookies in the afternoon. It was within easy walking distance of the beach/pier and a lovely little Main Street with various shops, restaurants and bars as well as a large supermarket and pharmacy.
Staff was friendly upon check in. Room was spacious (2 queen beds) and clean. Appreciated the sun/privacy shade and additional "black out" shade on the window. Both were easy to raise and lower to our comfort. Good water pressure in the shower. Plenty of counter space in the bathroom for our toiletries. Mirrored closet door with large space and several clothes hangers. Observed staff cleaning tables at dining area and nearby restroom. Appreciated the diligence in keeping cleanliness a priority.
The staff at Pacific Inn were very friendly. They couldn't do enough for us.
The hotel even provided beach equipment for us including surfing boogie boards. Wow!
For British guests, the hotel EVEN HAD MARMALADE available at the breakfast bar. Wow! This indicates some effort at thoughtfulness at this hotel.
I should mention that parking and room wifi was complimentary, unlike in some other establishments we visited (where we felt nickel and dimed a lot of the time).
Thank you.
We loved the location to Seal Beach, shopping, restaurants and bars, it was an easy walk and felt safe. We had been on a Princess Cruise and came into the San Pedro LA Port, fairly short Uber ride to the hotel. Room and bathroom were large. It is an older hotel but room was updated and quiet. Liked the balcony, loved the updated shower. Larger breakfast than we had expected in the morning. Would stay again!
Location is amazing, just a short walk to all the restaurants and shops. Seal beach is very safe and clean with tons of cool shops and restaurants. The property is located about 5 blocks from the beach another short walk. The check in and out was amazing with the staff being very friendly. We had our small dog with us and they treated him as one of the vip guest. Will stay here again. LOVED IT!
We had a two night stay - pool was great, liked the open roof. Self serve breakfast was excellent, it was continually refreshed and the waffle machine was a real it. Easy parking under cover and great location near Seal Beach. Beds very comfortable and nice products in the bathroom. Would have liked more time to use the gym properly.
Very nice and friendly staff - extraordinary.
Pool area was really cool and relaxing after a day spent sightseeing. Disneyland is only 30 minutes drive. Beach in walking distance approx 10 minutes
Seal Beach is a nice beach city and the Pacific Inn was the perfect location for us at the end of our californian road trip.
We all enjoy the indoor pool/spa, the rooms are always clean and comfortable.
Beds are okay, could be a bit softer.
Breakfast is always good and plentiful
We like to walk to the middle of seal beach town, we always find great food and our son enjoys the playground on the beach.
We came to visit our kids. The hotel was in the right place and was a nice place to stay overnight. We enjoyed visiting Seal Beach. The staff was pleasant and check-in and check-out went quickly and smoothly.
The location and setup of the hotel was great for our purposes....short bus ride down to event at Huntington Beach, and Seal Beach is a wonderful throwback type beach town that is more relaxed than HB.
Love the Ayers hotel chain. have stayed at Huntington but first time atSeal beach. Allstaff professional and friendly. go above and beyond to help. very large comfortable rooms.
Reception Staff was so nice, Breakfast had great food options
Room was updated, nice charging station with USB dock
Close to beach, some restaurants and airport
Very comfortable and homely, with all the facilities you need. Close to the beach. Seal Beach is a lovely, quiet area. Breakfast is included and is extensive
