the Extended Stay was filthy and poorly staffed. There was marijuana smoke in the hallways and the room telephone did not work. The kitchen was not sanitized, and we felt unsafe-will never stay there again and booking.com does little in representing you as a customer.

We were getting on a cruise and wanted to unwind ahead of it and get over jet lag (we were travelling from Australia). We stayed on the other end from downtown and the terminal. We had great access to the beach and the restaurants around here were great. Lots of little, what appeared to be mostly family owned. The neighbourhood was just that - a neighbourhood. Felt safe and lots of friendly people around. We did spend some time up near the cruise terminal with family who booked in a large well known hotel. It was way more sterile without the great restaurants and shops and certainly didn’t feel like a neighbourhood.

I like Long Beach a lot, but a visitor has to do some research because the amount of sights, restaurants, and events are just too many to list. Every time I go to Long Beach I make a new list of restaurants to experience.

My room at Hyatt Centric the Pike at Long Beach was comfortable. The amenities offered were a work area, a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, and a large bathroom. The hotel's location is situated in a dynamic downtown area of Long Beach. This provided me with easy access to a variety of entertainment, dining, shopping, and cultural attractions. conveniently located. I especially liked that it is located near the Long Beach Convention Center and the Pike Outlets. The bed was comfortable and provided a restful sleep experience.

Location of the hotel is good because it is close to attractions in Long Beach, Belmont Shores, Lakewood mall, right next to a plaza which has a Whole Foods as well as other restaurants. Breakfast is included, but it is just okay. Hotel is relatively new but the carpet in some areas is badly stained and does not give me confidence in the cleanliness of the hotel. Room had a musty smell. There is no housekeeping, unless you request in advance. Linens and bathroom seemed clean though.

We loved everything about the Queen Mary. The ship was built in Glasgow/Clydebank (our hometown) and therefore we really wanted, while in the USA, to have the opportunity to stay for Bed and Breakfast. It did not disappoint!! The history, decor and atmosphere was wonderful but not in any way stuffy! The room...we upgraded... was of it's time! The wifi was good!! The room was clean and comfy. The shower was surprisingly hot and powerful and the towels soft and fluffy.

The room was provided in a thoroughly clean state, with large comfortable beds and plenty of desk/dresser space. The hotel offers a private inner courtyard with access to two pools: a large one and a small one. Another perk was the small gym located in the reception hall. Plenty of parking spaces and two bus route stops near the hotel. Plenty of food stops 10 minutes walking down the highway, including an In-n-Out

Beachrunners is an absolutely beautiful cottage a stone’s throw from the beach. The owner keeps it spotlessly clean and in excellent nick. The room was like staying in a good friend’s guest room: beautiful, comfortable, bed and pillows were great. The breakfast was fresh and lovely. Beachrunner is a true gem and if ever I’m in Long Beach again, I won’t even consider staying anywhere else!

Loved the location of this gem: right smack dab in the arts district/near restaurants, walking distance of the water. Loved that it was a unique property, not a cookie-cutter hotel chain. Historic ( from the 20's), nicely decorated, the property itself was nicely maintained. The rooms are small, but cozy.
