The cleanliness of the room, the size was one of the largest we have ever stayed in. The jetted tub was amazing after a long drive! Our bed was perfect and slept like a baby.
The breakfast was great, many choices, clean and the staff was accommodating.

Barstow was a great stopover for us after having flown to LA from Australia, en route to Las Vegas. It was a pleasant town, easy to walk around, safe, and had a great Route 66 museum for car enthusiasts.
Panda Express was a great takeaway option for a meal.

We were travelling from the Pacific Grove area back to Phoenix. Going thru Barstow was GREAT. Missed all that BS Los Angeles traffic! And the expressways were in decent shape and not too busy! If I ever go back to the SF area I'll use the Barstow route. Stayed at the Quality Inn (a surprisingly good experience.)

The city is full of beautifull wall paintings and things that remind you the historic root 66. Everything was like stuck in the past that gave you the feeling of diving into the history of the city. On the other hand, the city seemed a little abandomed. People walking around were not the friendliest looking I have ever seen...

A Mexican restaurant, Jenny's Grill, was open for dinner until 7 PM and within walking distance. It was very good and frequented to full capacity by the local population. I did not see much of Barstow.

I just pass by here and stay one night.
I just pass by here and stay one night. There is not too much in Barstow. I guess only one Route 66 museum which was closed during my day visit (it only opens from Friday to Sunday). Additionally, there is a Mojave museum where you can get 4 passport stamps for your National Park Passport.
I liked the friendliness of the staff. The housekeeper is so polite and she is excellent when I was in need of towels and toilet paper and ect. The parking spaces are free and kept very clean. Rock area on premises is full of desert atmosphere and the scenery is actually really pretty at night the lights are great from parking lot or second story looking over Barstow shopping centers. Also the garbage is well kept as it seems to not be fluttering across the place even when windy. I will be referring my friends and family.
Big room, microwave, and fridge. Nice breakfast even though it's available from 6 to 9 which is very early. The hotel is close to many restaurants. The location is not the best (we saw a few homeless wandering in the streets and other people "hanging out" at the dollar store behind) they have signs that warn you to close windows and cars however, they have a nice security camera system.
The place was great for our Route 66 road trip..... friendly staff all round...from checking in to the cleaners....the guy behind the bar was terrific...... nice clean pool..... nice garden area...... we ate at the hotel at night.....the steaks were great.....one ofthe best places we stopped in our 3 week trip..... breakfast was lovely.....well done staff.
We stay at this Ayers Hotel often.
The staff is consistently professional and considerate.
My biggest “hotel pet peeve” is sour smelling shower curtains. 🤧😬
But in the Ayers in Barstow CA they are always fresh and clean.
It’s also nice to be able to get breakfast included in the morning.
We had two stays within two weeks, first stay was horrible, expensive, room old, breakfast horrible. But! Our most recent stay we got a great room, and the breakfast egg omelette, bacon etc was great.
Even though the hotel is being refurbished, it was ok.
really well maintained, quiet, and peaceful. Breakfast was good - not great, but good enough. Also, the value was very good as well - a hotel in San Diego would be 50-100% more and not as good quality.
Rooms are fairly clean and wide. Laundry service, breakfast, free parking, and surroundings with malls and restaurants: this hotel has anything one can need passing by Barstow!
That's a good motel for barstow. The room was far from the road so I couldn't hear the noises. The reception was very nice offering me water. Very good quality for the price
I have stayed at this hotel several times before and like its out of town location and the fact it serves breakfast. The rooms are always comfortable and well presented.
