Large room in the hotel’s annex across the street. Loved the space, the design of the armoire with drawers underneath and space for one’s luggage. Newer heating. Was like new. Large bathroom with very nice walk-in shower where the water actually stays in a fairly confined space and drains where it is supposed to! Loved the heated floor in the bathroom for how it felt underfoot but also because it helped dry out our towels and some hand-washed laundry.
Friendly and helpful staff
Easy parking just a block away

Premises are wonderful, traditional rustic stone built, beautiful and spacious bathroom with tiles to die for, rustic style interior, comfy bed, pool, tidy lawn, villa surrounded by trees, restaurant, staff is friendly and helpful, we got a free meal due to the fact restaurant was pre-booked for birthday party, so we couldn't eat there (and weather was too bad to dine on the restaurant terrace. But we were served in our room without charge. They are also pet friendly so next time I'll bring a dog too. Food was delicious, we tried Istrian cheese and prosciutto, stuffed spicy peppers, baked olives, almonds, fried zucchinis...

The only thing good about this room was location. The location is perfect, it's basically in the middle of the Bale. You are a minute from everything.

Ane is the kindest host I've ever met :)
At our departure we also received presents and home made cookies from her.
In her apartment we never miss anything, needless to bring salt, sugar or coffee, there is everything including kitchen utensils and toiletries.

Great staff, very nice, although they don't speak English (they do Italian and German), very close to the city centre, the city is extremely beautiful. Nice balcony and garden with BBQ outside, very well prepared. The rooms are big enough, one big bathroom and a smaller one, good enough for 8 people at least.

It is very convenient for us that Bale is somewhere in the middle between Pula and Rovinj, also many great sights to see such as Kamenjak, also a lof of small islands to visit. We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for 5 nights and it was much too short! Could visit for a month.

Bale is located within driving distance to bigger tourist attractions (Pula, Brijuni/Fazana, Rovinj are 20-25 min away), which makes it close enough to explore and far enough to avoid noise and crowds. I loved its location, because it is also convenient for outdoor activities (proximity of sea, biking, hiking). I loved the old city, cobbled streets, beautiful vistas. I would recommend it equally to those looking for an active vacation experience or to those just looking to relax.

Charming quiet town.
Charming quiet town. Well maintained homes and a small number of shops and eateries. Although we were told it was typically Istrian unlike other towns we visited it had hardly any commercial establishments. It is not on the water but close by. As with any older Istrian town you park outside the center and walk with no cars to bother you!

A truly charming and one of a kind historic town, with all sorts of surprises, from great dining (La Grisa and Istra are two musts), to lovely cafes, eventful summer ( I need to come back for Jazz festival) and pristine nearby beaches (reachable via free town provide transport). And, nearby activities, including nearby Rovinj, biking on trails, wineries, olive orchards, water parks, etc, just make it, for us, a repeat location for our exploration of Istria and it's surroundings.

Very nice medieval town. Only few tourists.
Very nice medieval town. Only few tourists. Good restaurants. Ideal place to stay if you look for a quite place. 6 - 10 km to the beach. To get around a car is necessary. Ideal place for an elderly couple without kids.
This is brand new house built with some of old stone walls restored and beautifully exposed. The house sits on a small enclosed piece of land, with jacuzzi and outdoor dining, among other village houses. 5 minute walk to the historic Bale old town, small but charming. Convenient parking spot, short drive to a local seaside resort (entrance key provided by the host) and to many nearby historic towns and beaches. Ines, the host, lives next door. She kindly welcomed us in person and communicated to make sure all our questions are answered.
Everything was great. The hotel has a special atmosphere. The pool was big comparing to the size of the hotel and comparing to the fact that there were usually only 2 or 3 couples max. The pool “seemed” that it is only for 4 rooms next to the pool. So almost as private :) Energy is calm, no noise, sleeping like a baby. For me it was also quite inspiring, i was able to work and creat new strategies for my work.
we liked the old part of the hotel which is nicely reconstructed with a combination of a new part which is very modern.
Really nice location, we easily traveled to Italy, Slovenia, Pula and so on.
It looks like the apartment is part of the castle itself, and despite that - spacious and nice. Town Bale is also great (and very small and quiet).
Included Mon Perin beach (5 minutes on car) is nice itself, also it has a very good Wibit water adventure part (I thought some photos are some kind of fake, but they are real - it is just Mon Perin camping site part), also freely available for everyone.
The owner is really good.
Everything was perfect. Its a super cosy and friendly, one of a kind luxurious restort. Access to the seaside / beach is possible as well. Hotel staff is pure gem: all of them are super friendly and attentative, making our stay unforgetably classy and unique.. Food - delicious. Wines - lovely and happy drinkable.
Thanks a lot to everyone who assisted us (incl. room service, reception, concierge, restaurant / bar / Spa personnel etc.) and see you soon again 🙋♂️🍾✨️
The accommodation was very quiet at night. The village is small, so you can easily access all local amenities on foot (2 grocery shops, 1 bakery, several restaurants and bars). The location is a short car drive from the nearest beach. You can also hitch a free train from Bale to the beach. The beach is very clean and family friendly.
Everything! The best hosting experience we had on this trip. The place is gorgeous, super boutique and intimate, only 5 rooms, the staff is incredible, super friendly and helpful. The rooms are super fine, the pool is amazing and you have to try out their wine. Enjoy!
Nice apartment in the center of beautiful place Bale. Quiet place, staff is very helpful, we got detailed instructions for everything we needed. Free parking included im the price, card for the Camp area (about 6 km from apartment) with nice beaches.
Very chic and fairly modern. Great location in the small town of Bale next to various services. Very helpful host. Pool and outdoor kitchen, great for families and groups of friends. Good parking.
Quiet, attractive and convenient location
Very pleasant owner
Excellent downstairs restaurant
Bale is pretty and located only a short distance from overcrowded Rovinj
+Super nice hosts!
+Great localization in the Bale (beautiful small city that is really worth to see!) and only 20 minutes from Rovinj.
+Private parking
Our trip to Bale was short but sweet. Davor is a great host. His apartments are exemplary. The summer kitchen is very useful, so everything was perfect.
