The cottage was lovely and once you are there is in a fabulous location. The tight lanes to get to the property can be tricky to navigate especially at night and in the rain. Oncoming traffic can be an issue if there is not a lay-by or pull-in area nearby. It can of course be done with caution and the locals do thank you for reversing to the most appropriate passing place.

Pretty little town with good facilities.
Pretty little town with good facilities. Excellent walks, pubs, restaurants. Lots to do and see around the area. We dined at Twenty Seven which, although on the expensive side, was excellent. Great way to celebrate a birthday.

A lovely town, with something for everyone. would liked to have stayed longer. Accessible to centre of town by small boats........but check tide times as you could become stranded until next high tide! Lovely surrounding scenic views and ideal for walks and exploring.

Owner was very helpful with providing washing powder as we had been traveling for some time and needed to wash some clothes. Tea and coffee and fresh milk were provided, along with chocolate biscuits. The location is a little bit out of Kingsbridge and up some steep hills so we could take an evening stroll into town, but on the other hand the house backed onto fields and the area was nice and quiet. Heated floors in bathroom with a sizeable tub and separate shower. I will definitely stay here again when I am in Kingsbridge. The property is perfectly located in the heart of the peaceful and quiet South Pool, many of the beaches and coastal walks are just 10-15 mins drive away. The room is airy and spacious. Sheila and Tim were fantastic hosts, giving us plenty of suggestions on walking trails, restaurants and pubs, as well as delicious homemade bread and marmalade. Highly recommended.

Location was great away from the hustle and bustle but perfect to explore the sorroundings, which really appreciated when returning after a busy day and Chris and Rachel made us feel really welcomed. Beds were really comfortable, power shower and my husband really liked the sofa, again perfect for sinking into after a long day exploring south Devon.

Both huts are well sized with a good bed, clean sheets & linen and modcons needed if staying there for the day. The kitchen is well equipped, although we took great advantage of the bbq provided. The on-site shop was well stocked up so guests didn’t need to drive to the nearest supermarket.
