The room was quiet, but there was a faulty air conditioner / heater unit that automatically started up at 7:00am each morning, making sound like heavy raining on a tin roof. This was a bit disturbing and it woke me up. I did report it to reception, so I can only hope that this was rectified ready for the next guest to use that room.
The room was at the end of a corridor, meaning no footfall of other guests passing by so was very quiet in that respect.

Lovely village with a couple of pubs, restaurants and takeaways. Would recommend a trip to the National Justice Museum and Caves in Nottingham and East Midlands Airport Museum where you can take the kids to watch the planes take off and land.
