I loved the size of the room and the complimentary robes & slippers. The view was also amazing - we were in a sea front privileged room. The location of the hotel was great. Plenty round about. The breakfast was also really great, we were pleasantly surprised.

The town is not what it once was, but as someone born and bred in Ayr I have nothing to dislike about it. Loads of good places to stay and to eat for all tastes and expenses. Not an awful lot to do especially for young people but Culzean Castle and Dumfries House worth a visit. We also enjoyed the Burns museum. Glasgow easy drive away. Ayr and other beaches would be great in warmer months . Best dinner was at Kirkton Inn, Dalrymple and best lunch at The Coo Shed

On arrival the owner was very welcoming and gave us some local information and provided a reliable taxi number for us. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely cooked breakfast to set us up for the day before attending the wedding.

The downstairs bar area and dining room are authentic and welcoming. The breakfast was great.
