Located in a late 19th century Art Noveau-style building overlooking the Måbø Valley, Fossli Hotel offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with private bathrooms. Vøringsfossen Waterfall is next to the hotel.

This hotel was great value in this small town. The hotel restaurant was surprisingly nice and the food was delicious. They offered us a late check-in, which was super helpful. Parking was ample and there was one low-power charger available.

Ole Johnny is simply the best and made the difference in our experience as he repeatedly went out of his way to ensure our satisfaction. Would return just to see him !
Included breakfast was sensational.
Can’t wait until the room refurbishment later this year.
Free parking is a real plus as parking cost in Norway are outrageous
Eidsfjord is beautiful as is this hotel’s external architecture

Incredible location, well kitted out cabins and facilities. I was there during the offseason but everything still worked as it should. Friendly owner who gave clear instructions via message.

The room was clean. We appreciated the kitchenette, quiet, view of the fjord and spacious grounds.
Overlooking Eidfjordvatnet lake and surrounded by mountain scenery, these cottages are just 7.5 mi from the dramatic Vøringsfossen waterfall.

Reasonably priced private cabin with private kitchen facilities in each cabin. Nice views around the property and parking right out front of cabin. Had a great sleep.

Eidfjord is a very practical location since from there is access to many activities and visits that I would recommend such as Vøringsfossen, Kjeåsen, Norsk Natursenter - Hardanger and a lot of sensational excursions. Apart from that you have Hardangerfjord, the Ulvik/Voss area, Hardangervidda just a few kilometers away by car.
And the town is small, quiet and charming.

Eidfjors is an idyllic place with many things to do or enjoy. As main attractions you have the waterfall of Vøringsfossen, the norwegian nature center museum and the farms and views of Kjeåsen. Apart from that, other spectacular waterfalls and fantastic hikes. It is also a good place to relax and do nothing.

There is some great hiking in the area.
There is some great hiking in the area. We took the trail to the foot of Voringsfossen waterfall, which gave a different perspective from the viewpoints along the road. The hike to Kjeasen mountain farm is a lot of fun, with a few scrambles on the way up. This is quite steep and slippy in places so best done on a dry day. The views from the top are stunning.
We also did a day trip to Bergen from Eidfjord, if you have a car it is doable to go there and back in a day.
Eidfjord itself is very small and easy to get around. We mainly ate in our hotel (Eidfjord Fjell and Fjord Hotel) which was very nice to go for dinner.
The building was easy to find - right on the bank of the fjord, next to the highway. The owner was easy to reach. The two-room apartment was well well-equipped, way big enough, and had its own balcony. We could have stayed longer if it was not about a road trip in Norway. For sure, we would like to get back once in the future. The little town of Eidfjord is also a charming one within walking distance of the building.
The hotel is nice and very easy to access if traveling by boat or ferry.
The breakfast had an interesting variety of food, including vegetables, fruit, and a smoothie. I would have just added a few more cake options for those who prefer a sweet breakfast.
We enjoyed a lot the buffet dinner at an additional but reasonable price, which included a variety of starters, main options, and desserts!
Location is lovely unless there is a huge cruise ship in the harbour just opposite the hotel building that totally blocks the view. It was like that when we arrived but fortunately it was gone in the evening. I suppose that it happens quite often as it is a popular spot for the cruises. From the breakfast room you get a nice view of the fjord. We enjoyed that.
Friendly, helpful staff – felt more like a family than a hotel. Nice breakfast with freshly cooked omelettes. Comfortable, spacious, modern hotel room. Only 9 rooms on the property; all on the ground floor. Comfortable lounge area with free tea. The owners run an adventure travel company (kayaking, biking, etc.) as well.
Great location opposite the edge of the fjord. A few mins drive from the harbour and centre of Eidfjord. Quaint property with nice eclectic decor - stuffed animals in the terrace area. Only food available was pancakes - advertised as 20 options, but only half a dozen on menu. Breakfast was ok but basic.
We loved the dinning room and the views from there. The location is great if you are exploring Norway. The staff member was very helpful. He helped us plan our day trip as our initial plans did not work out due to bad weather. The next day he even gave us some more pointers.
We really enjoyed our stay at Eidfjord Hytter. The staff was fantastic, you could see, that they like doing their jobs. Good breakfast and delicious pancakes. We got brand new beds at the hytte so we had great sleep.
The hotel was built in the 1800s so there were decorated with antiques. But the rooms were kept nice and spacious. The staff was very friendly in telling us the history. So near the best attraction Voss waterfall.
Great location, very close to the Hardangerfjord and the Voringfossen waterfall. The facilities were very clean and the room was very cozy, and the staff was attentive too. Nice breakfast to start the day.
Nice hotel for a short stop on the road back to Oslo. The location is stunning and the staff are very friendly. Free tea and coffee available all day and a nice lounge to relax in.
The host met us outside of the hotel, great hospitality. The room was very clean and modern. The hotel was perfect for us staying a night between Vøringsfossen and Teolltunga.
Location, interiors, staff and even the food cooked by the chef .... Wish we had more time to stay in this beautiful hotel. One of the best places to stay in Eidfjord.
