The staff was super kind. There is a restaurant with tasty food on the ground floor. Parking is free.

A good place to base ourselves for a short stay. We walked along Wanderweg paths following the river into Interlaken. A very pleasant walk 👍 Would be a good base for exploring the Brienz Interlaken Grindelwald area by motorcycle, or car, or local buses and trains.

It was so clean and feels like home.
It was so clean and feels like home. We cooked dinner and breakfast with ease. Complete with coffee pods and basic condiments. Recommended for you next travel. We really enjoyed our stay. We went winter and bus run every hour. No problem for us as we only need to take that bus once. You can opt to wlk for 22 mins to interlaken ost. The bathroom has no lock again no problem for us as we are family. We just knock before entering. Maybe the only problem we had was throwing rubbish away. Quite confusing where to put it

I went trekking between Iseltwald and Giessbach.
I went trekking between Iseltwald and Giessbach. It was 1.5 hours long but can be completed within 1 hour. Good exercise. I had lunch at the bottom of the Giessbach waterfalls and it was great. It's not suitable for a picnic basket, but a small lunch and drink would be perfect. Do pick up your trash and take them with you when you leave. If you can't, please don't eat there. It was good to take the bus, hike and then the ferry back to Bonigen. Do try multiple transportations.EllenNetherlands - 10Scored 10

Right on the lake for the views and a summertime dip after a long day. A bit of a trek into Interlaken but far enough away so as not to get too busy with tourists. Boenigen is the quiet neighbour of Interlaken & all the better for it. Excellent centre for travelling the local area or just about anywhere in Switzerland. Had a day on the Glacier Express from Brig to Chur! A definite must on any holiday.

The view from our room was spectacular and the size was larger than expected. The breakfast oats and coffee were outstanding. There was also a wonderful patio directly out front that overlooks Lake Brienz and you can enjoy a drink. The breakfast is really nice with so many different options. They also give you a tourist card which can be used for free public transportation to the city center. Our room faced Lake Brienz and every morning we were greeted by the sunrise. Amazing view of the lake! The hotel staff made you feel like family. In fact, the entire stay felt like I was spending a weekend at a long-lost relative's house.
