Breakfast was spot on. Location was pretty decent. A little far removed from restaurants/shopping and such, but that is kinda what I wanted so was very good for my needs. I answered no regarding the question above "Did the price I paid match the expectations I had when I booked". I answered no because the facility far exceeded my expectation. I felt it was a very good value.

Charming is an apt name for this beautiful hidden away gem. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, really working hard to ensure our stay was a dream romantic romp. They even prepared a tailored vegan alternative menu that was an unexpected touch of care. We're truly grateful to Silvia and her team.

Interesting town, much to see, like the TAAF Snake Farm, where I was for a course, the Gede ruins and much more. Good infrastructure, which is not in all coastal towns in Kenya the case. The beach in front of Papa Remo is alone worth going there!

Watamu is beautiful , but unfortunately too touristical for me. Heavily overpriced for Kenya. People who like bust tourist spots will like it though... traditionally many Italians, if you want to avoid those, Watamu is also not your choice

Watamu has lovely people, tourists are so safe its unreal.
Watamu has lovely people, tourists are so safe its unreal. Large Italian population and visitors, so most hotels and resteuraunts are italian owned. Best place to eat and the most jawdropping view is from Ocean Sports.

Watamu as such is lovely with a few good public beaches.
Watamu as such is lovely with a few good public beaches. Restaurants are galore and most really good, although mostly expensive. Among the coastal towns I visited in Kenya and Tanzania, I have come back to Watamu most often. The water is crystal clear, the beach white and not overrun, and the area offers enough activities to not get boring.

Local administration and hoteliers should strive to attract...
Local administration and hoteliers should strive to attract more local tourists. Overdependence on foreigners leads to exaggerated prices in addition to leaving Watamu as a ghost town especially in low season.
Very clean and modern rooms. The main pool area looks great and the restaurant serves good food. Breakfast was delicious too, with fresh fruits and juices, pancakes, and fried eggs upon request in any way you like, among other things. One of the big perks for me personally was the beach access and lounge area. I walked the entire beach from Hemingways until the inlet of Mida Creek, and I didn't come across another hotel with such a peaceful seating area right on the beach.
The breakfast was awesome especially that you could have your breakfast the time you wanted and the service was exceptional.
Really loved the host Susan who was welcoming friendly and was there whenever i needed her assistance. The staff were very welcoming and smiles all round and really helpful too.
Although the weather in Watamu wasn't nice at the time Susan and her Family and the Staff really made my weekend.
Keep up the good work Susan.
Great staff - Jojo was really helpful in getting me sorted with everything to do in Watamu. Erik the regular Boda driver also was incredible and always available to pick and drop me off to places. Great location - walking distance to Papa Remos and the beach. Easy to get a boda to main Watamu village. I liked the room size and also liked that I had a kitchen to cook.
Lovely place on the beach. Good food, some of the friendliest and most helpful staff we’ve seen in Kenya. Plenty of outdoor lounge areas, a beautiful pool and an outdoor self-serving kitchen. We stayed in the tent and with the breeze, shade and fan it was still one of the best and coolest nights of sleep we had. One of our favorite spots in Kenya!
Some of the best food I've eaten in Kenya so far, our room had an amazing view and didn't disappoint at all. The swimming pool was amazing and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The view of the moon rising while we were eating dinner was one of the best things I've ever witnessed. I'd recommend this to anybody in the area, it's paradise!
It is a short walk to the nearest beach, where there are plenty of small restaurants and bars. The area is quite safe as there are two hotels in the local vicinity. Very peaceful in the evenings, even with the close vicinity of the hotels. Mohamed, our contact, was extremely helpful and managed to resolve the dew small issues that we had.
The staff was very friendly and willing to assist. The beach was also just steps away from the property as well as the pool and beach towels were provided. There were also some specials guests- the owners dogs! The breakfasts were also very good with fresh baked goods, fresh eggs, and freshly squeezed juice as well as eggs your way.
Everything- stunning, staff is friendly and attentive and it is never loud. This place is exactly what I needed and it is owned by a local family (this should be commonplace but coastal Kenya is very much neocolonized). They pay attention to details. It’s impossible to be here and not feel like you’re at the best joint in town.
Amazing place, the best we have stayed at in Africa. Felt like we were in a 5* hotel..spotless, comfortable, quiet. We extended our stay by an extra night we liked it so much..Maggie looked after us impeccably, warm and a perfect host, ready to help whenever we needed her. Highly recommended recommended.
This is a great, clean beach house right next to a lovely white sand beach. The water is pretty warm and there arent aggressive beach boys at the beach. There are tiki beach umbrellas on the beach that you can hang out under. The receptionist Safari was very nice as well.
the location is decent - there's access to a very small beach from the hotel, but if you want to access the main beach you'll have to walk 15 min or drive. the pool is big and clean. breakfast is ok. good diving centre at the hotel. the view from lichthouse is beautiful
Location is amazing.
Gizellea, the manager was there to help on any time, she made our stay perfect.
Staff was super nice as well:)
In the hotel, there is an amazing restourant. Best food we had in Kenya.
Will be back for sure:)
Outstanding outside space, excellent breakfast, amazing staff, great location on the beach, close to town, nice tie up with Watamu Safari's for excursions. The hotel staff are just simply brilliant as are the Watamu Safari's guys
Clean, quiet place. Customer service was 5 star. Bed was extremely comfortable. Keep track of what you are spending on dinner and drinks. They tried to charge us more than they should have. Good thing we wrote it all down.
The breakfast was eccellenti and plentiful and well served. The location of the Villa is excellent , 100 meters away , from one of the most exclusive beaches in Watamu
