We enjoyed walking along the beaches to the north and south...
We enjoyed walking along the beaches to the north and south of the town. One day we took the boat to the island of Cabrera and enjoyed walking along a track towards the other side of the island. There are numerous places to swim along these coastlines, the water being very clear. We liked the quiet atmosphere in the town that has a good number of restaurants, cafés and shops, dotted around, including the central area of the town.

One of my favourite towns to visit in Mallorca not over developed lots of natural land and beaches are long with plenty of room for everyone to have space.

A very nice holiday destination.
A very nice holiday destination. I came to attend Best Fest, an open water swimming event. Colonia Sant Jordi is a wonderful destination if you want to swim, cycle, run, go walking or just relax on the beach. It felt a safe place to stay and everyone seemed so friendly.

I love that it doesn't attract loud brash tourists.
I love that it doesn't attract loud brash tourists. It is very unspoilt & real Mallorcan Culture shines through. The food is fantastic & the beaches are stunning. The waters are gorgeous for swimming & there are some lovely boat trips from the port. We visited the beautiful island of Caberra & the Blue caves. The Gelateria is a must place to visit!

Having owned a family property in Colonia for over 18 years,...
Having owned a family property in Colonia for over 18 years, the town is (in my opinion) one of the best places to holiday in the entire Med. The beaches are famous for a reason and during peak season they can get busy, however, if you’re willing to walk a little further, your own private beach (essentially) awaits you. A must is Es Trenc and Es Carbo. The water is crystal clear and the marine life sublime. It is not uncommon to see sting rays, jelly fish and fish just off the beach.
The town itself is broken down into the high street and the port. A short walk away from each other, they offer cuisine and bars for all. Everywhere I have ever been has been accommodating of all nationalities and make you feel welcome and special. A must for food is Laos Club, 5 illes, Cassai Beach House and Marisol. It can be quite expensive but the quality is out of this world. Be sure to book in advance.
A secret of Colonia is by the Hotel Sur Mallorca, where there are steps into the sea, where an old tour boat used to dock. Enjoy floating around in the sea and the amazing marine life such as octopus that are commonly seen. This is also the best spot to see the sunset from in the whole of Colonia.
For sun rise, take a walk down to the port and make your way around to Es Carbo. Regardless what time of year, I can guarantee it will be almost deserted.
It’s a 5* destination.

The location and view are probably the best in town. Paradise is in your front yard, and everything you need or desire is conveniently within walking distance; supermarket, bakery, restaurants, bars, the front port, beuatiful beaches, and the l'avenida. Cala Galiota is the most beautiful cove with clear waters and great snorkeling, though swimming access takes careful navigation. Migjorn Cel is a contemporary, clean, well-lit dwelling in the heart of Colonia de Sant Jordi.
The location is unbeatable: right on El Estanys beach which is the best beach for swimming in all of Mallorca. Beautiful views from the room, and EXTREMELY friendly and attentive staff. Good breakfasts. Clean room, with a balcony and great water pressure in the shower and a very nice Climalit double paned windows that blcok all the sound. Beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas are available at the front desk.
What a fantastic find. Staff were very nice and polite, meals were good. Lovely pools. We will be back. Drinks were very reasonable for a hotel. 4.25 euro for a large San Miguel, 2.50 for coffee, a very nice bottle of rioja at dinner for 18 euros. Plenty of sunbeds, very mixed clientèle, mostly Germans, Brits Spanish amongst others. All very well behaved and polite.
The hotel is beautifully renovated. The staff are beyond welcoming and super helpful. Rooms are extremely well presented and cleaned on a daily basis with the beds also being turned down every evening. The pool area is clean and quiet and the pool bar is very relaxing with a lovely, varied menu and absolutely delicious food and excellent service.
Staff was super attentive with us, always willing to help and kind.
Very well located with walking distance to the two main beaches and easy to park nearby.
Hotel was clean, good wifi and new airco. They have also offered us beach towels and beach umbrellas. We definitely recommend this place to stay :)
The 2 brothers that run the hotel are very friendly, they will do everything to make you feel in a 5-star hotel.
The breakfast is very good.
The hotel location is good, not far from the places of interest and not close so that it is noisy.
It's an amazing hotel with a great location. I wanted something relaxed and easy for a few days, close to the beach and that's exactly what I got. I had an early flight out so asked if I could get my breakfast a bit earlier, which they did.
Nice and large flat that was clean when we arrived.
Flat with AC that is great during the summer.
The hotel is 2 min walking distanve from a nice beach with one of the best sunset view in palma.
Swiming pool is small but cosy
Love the place. Very comfortable with all necessary amenities. Great location and exceptional breakfast and dinner. Great bartender, ask for Marec on your next visit. Highly recommend the hotel isla de Cabrera.
Superb location very, close to the beaches, prime location next to a lot of restaurants. Staff were very accommodating and the room was left spotless every day. We will be looking forward to returning.
