Free breakfast was the best I've had in my travels
Spokane has good and bad.
Food scene and walking the downtown are is good.
Parking is expensive and sucks. Cleanliness and safety downtown especially at night is a concern. The old lyrics, "The freaks come out at night." are appropriate.
Even Spokane is experiencing similar degredation as Portland, Seattle etc.
Why do these cities allow themselves to become so unsafe and dirty? all pretty much run by the libtards.

I only spent my time in Downtown which has nice restaurants and everything is within walking distance.
The best part is the beautiful natural park called "Riverfront Park" where the Spokane river is traversing; there are playgrounds for children, benches for relaxation, jogging trails, a pond with geese and ducks, a small Japanese garden and an open auditorium for performances. The garden with huge trees is magnificent. This park with the natural river in the middle of downtown is uniquely Spokane.

Spokane is a nice city.
Spokane is a nice city. There are a lot of restaurants downtown within walking distance or a short Uber ride. The river area is beautiful and a must-see. As with other cities, the unhoused population is growing, and can be somewhat aggressive, so travel in groups and be aware of your surroundings.

Spokane has some lovely areas to visit, especially Manito Park. There are some beautiful old homes in the Rockwood area. It is not, however, the place to look for boutique shopping. I definitely would recommend dining at one of the restaurants located adjacent to the Spokane Falls, for the view as well as the fine dining. You do not want to pass up the carousel. It is remarkable, with an interesting history.

Spokane has a lot going for it with the nearby mountains.
Spokane has a lot going for it with the nearby mountains. However, the trash and the homeless that seemed to be everywhere were a turnoff. We attended the "Pigout in the Park" event and there seemed to be way too much food. I guess that is what a pigout is meant to be. The music was good except you could hear the other bands performing at the same time, and it created a mixed sound rather than listening to only one band. Perhaps the park is too small for more bands to be able to play without competing sounds. There seemed to be too many commercial vendors that mass produce the same things at the event as well. I would prefer more original artwork myself, but I understand commercial vendors need to make money too. We drove around to quite a few places, and I didn't see any areas that didn't have a fair amount of trash. We stayed at a nice hotel with beautiful views of the mountains, but the streets getting to the hotel had rundown homes and homeless in plain view. We did eat at a cute bar, but it was a bit dark inside, and the potato salad had potatoes that didn't serm fully cooked in it. The sandwich, on the other hand, was delicious, and my friends drank beer and really liked their selection of draft beers. In summary, unforunately, Spokane is not a city I would care to ever visit again.

I was recently there for 3 days.
I was recently there for 3 days. It was a quick trip that I had only planned a few weeks before. I enjoyed the parks, trails, and the local breweries. I rented a bike and rode ~20 miles to the east to the Idaho border which was relatively easy to do. I took the Empire Build Amtrak train from Portland and had no issues. Also, pubic transportation for a city this size was pretty good.
This is a great hotel, friendly staff, dog friendly establishment, and perfect for solo trips or families. It was quiet, clean, and well maintained. Beds were comfortable and nice pillows too, which are crucial for someone like me with a bad back or neck. They did a great job meeting our needs. Love the valet parking option to keep our car safe at night. Nice location within walking distance to a few different restaurants, and attractions like theaters and shops.
NOTHING: Booked weeks in advance, communicated on day one I would be arriving at 12:30am after 38 hours of flights from Australia, Philippines, Vancouver BC, Seattle then to Spokane. Got confirmation by email response from the hotel on the late check in. Heard nothing from the hotel when they overbooked and no longer had a room for me, rooms were still showing available the day before. In detail I stressed my late arrival and loooong travel days.
I really appreciate that May the woman at the front desk, always remembers me! I usually travel to Spokane monthly. She’s always so great about accommodating me and my family! She goes the extra mile when it comes to our comfort, safety, and time spent at the hotel! It really matters to her how we experienced our stay at the hotel! She always wants our time in the hotel to be relaxing, enjoyable, and fun! She’s great!!!😊😊😊
It's less than ten minute walk to the waterfront park in Spokane, so you won't have to try to find a place to park downtown and pay for parking. It's next to the railroad tracks but the tracks are up on a viaduct, so they trains don't honk their horns. If you want to be downtown and don't mind the occasional noise of freight train going by, this is a good location.
The building, parking lot, rooms, halls, pool, patio-- all are tasteful, seem brand new, and very very clean. Check in was fast and the mattresses and linens were super comfy and wonderful. The breakfast was very ample and generous and convenient. Best of all, no fighting the traffic in downtown Spokane. It's a super easy off and on from I-90.
This is really a nice, clean hotel. Everything you need and the location is right next to the Spokane River. We had a beautiful walk in the evening as well as the next morning. Highly recommend for your stay in Spokane. And if you have the time, go to Wild Sage for dinner. One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time.
This is the oldest hotel in Spokane, lovingly restored with real art on the walls. Our room was stylish and comfortable. There was a coffee and tea station right on our floor in the beautiful sitting room. Great location in the historic downtown near lots of restaurants, and easy affordable parking.
The Spokane club has a nice old-fashioned feeling to it. The people are super nice and the restaurant is right on the premises which is very convenient. Parking is a short walk away and inside a garage which is great as downtown Spokane can be a little sketchy at night.
This property is so beautiful! I love walking around the hotel and just looking at all the beautiful, ornate details in the woodwork and decor. The rooms are extremely comfortable and clean, it’s very quiet, and I won’t stay anywhere else when we visit downtown Spokane.
Lobby area was very nice and the staff was helpful. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room accommodations were good overall. Located in a nice area within Spokane and we felt safe while in the hotel.
We've stayed at this hotel once before, so we knew what to expect from the room. It was good enough for an overnight stay. It isn't advertised as a 5-star hotel and it isn't, but it is a passable 3-star.
We flew into Spokane & spent the night at the airport so that we could rent a car in the morning! The hotel was nice with an indoor pool as well as fire pits outside with a nice lounging area.
Nice hotel at a good rate close to city centre. Cheap and convenient parking outside door.
Rooms were clean and functional and provided the comfort one would expect for the price.
Fast check-in with a friendly front desk employee. Loved the secure parking garage. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will definitely be our go to hotel when visiting Spokane.
Everything about this property was great - location, breakfast, rooms, quietness, value for money..... heartily recommend to anyone traveling to Spokane.
