We went for a Cancer Survivors Celebration, and while there we went b ack to the Museum of History in Forrest Park. It was more than our old broken bodies could handle and we left after two hours. Went to the "HILL", Italian section of town for dinner. We went to Mama's on the Hill and had another great meal. Meals are large, so we share a side salad and an entree. Never an issue, they bring an extra plate. There are numerous other Italian restaurants and we have eaten in several of them. All were good. The Hill is only about 2 miles from the Museum or from Barnes Jewish Hospital, take KingsHighway, prob North maybe west from the Hospital. Watch for signs about the Hill go about 1 1/2 miles or so crossing the two interstate hiways. Turn right off of Kingshighway either on Shaw or Southwest something. Right past a 4 or 5 story U HAUL business!

Despite initial concerns about safety, my personal experience contradicted those worries. I discovered that the area around the Arch and Ballpark Village was safe to walk around during the day, Had mouthwatering tacos and margaritas at Condado Tacos at the Ballpark village. ,To explore further, we opted for Uber rides at night and were rewarded with the breathtaking sight of the Anheuser Busch St. Louis Brewery lights. Explored the St. Louis Zoo, a free and delightful experience. Overall, while some caution is advisable, my trip revealed that with sensible precautions, St. Louis can be a wonderful and safe destination to explore. Will have to check out the botanical gardens on our next visit.

The city is empty. Nothing to do.
The city is empty. Nothing to do. On a Saturday afternoon downtown is empty. No shopping, no bars down town. If you have to go to st Louis, make sure you’re in a nice neighborhood out of centre. There are quite a few.

Our family spent Labor Day weekend at the Forrest Park Drury Inn and Suites. It was a very comfortable stay with everything that we wanted: great breakfast, comfy beds, and nice pool area. We spent time at the wonderful and FREE St Louis Zoo and the very interesting Science Center. What a great get-away!

If it was not for Anheuser-Busch, I would not come back to St Louis. The Arch was good and was a monument to see but Anheuser-Busch was the highlight of our trip. The only reason I would return would be because I would go back to see Anheuser-Busch. They know how to treat people and are just an awesome place to go.
I felt like the interior king room was large. I also found that room was very clean. The bed was comfortable for me; I had no trouble sleeping. It was nice to have amenities in the room like a microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast was well stocked in the morning and the cooked food was kept warm. I also liked that they offer the evening kickback. The staff we talked to was friendly and helpful. The hotel location is great for downtown sightseeing.
The design nicely blends the old charm of the hotel's former use as shoe factory (a "last" is the foot-shaped form used to mold the shoe - this is the origin of the name) while adding modern touches. Staff were exceptionally friendly. Location is convenient, still on Washington Avenue, probably the most impressive east-west street in downtown, but a little west of the very center, which provides relative peace and quiet.
The Club is a beautiful place to stay when visiting Saint Louis. We attended a Cardinals game and thankful for the shuttle to get us there and back. The traffic was crazy but the driver managed just fine. We were glad to have a safe place downtown to park our car as well. Carl was very helpful at the door as my husband had an injury and couldn't carry the luggage.
The hotel had historic charm and was clean and tastefully decorated. It has much more character than surrounding hotels as at comparable price. Also very close to the Arch National Park, which was great for morning walks. Staff was always very friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again.
Our room is as very nice, clean, and comfortable. Great bathroom fixtures. The workout area was also nice. It’s still under construction but it was not obtrusive. The room was mostly tile which is great for the pups. I appreciate having a dog friendly hotel downtown.
location downtown St. Louis; great views of the Arch and the Mississippi River; covered parking connected to the hotel. breakfast included. able to walk to restaurants and Gateway Park and riverfront. indoor heated pool was nice to have as well
I looked the happy hour. The room was really clean and the set up for breakfast and the sitting area was great . I have no complaints my family loved the pool area. When ever come back to st Louis I will book this hotel again.
I loved the location and the hotel's presentation. Very nice, central area with lots of nearby restaurants & shopping centers. Also, for me personally, it was great that their King Rooms had showers as opposed to bathtubs.
The location was great going to and from the city, and we really enjoyed the staff and cleanliness of the hotel. Overall we had a great experience and look forward to coming back sometime!
Comfortable hotel right by the airport. I have stayed in several of the STL airport hotels and so far this is the best price/performance ration. Will probably stay here next time.
Basic hotel in downtown of St.Louis. I guess the area is dodgy, because there was a security tower in the parking lot. lol. Otherwise it was decent place to stay overnight.
Both Breakfast and the happy hour snacks and drinks were excellent! Location was just at the arch! I will try to stay at the same hotel next time I return to St. Louis.
