The Napa Valley is just beautiful place to be.
The Napa Valley is just beautiful place to be. It is best to visit during the week as the traffic can be very bad during the weekend. Also, avoid Napa during the harvest. To get around the valley use the Silverado Trail Road and not the main road. If you want to visit wineries, be sure to have reservations. We ate at Mustards Grill. As always, the food was excellent, but you must have reservations as the Grill is very popular. It is very noisy. Best time to have lunch is after 1:30.

We have been wine tasting to Napa for more than 20 years.
We have been wine tasting to Napa for more than 20 years. This trip was a disappointment because you now have to reserve in advance for wine tasting at a winery and they charge enormous price per person, the cheapest was $40 and it went to $85 per person. We understand that all the tastings are now seated since the after-pandemic and this has some plus and minuses. First it is too expensive to go wine tasting in Napa and second it takes a lot more time for a tasting than if you'd stand up at the bar. We might never go back to Napa. It is so sad but the scenery is as beautiful as it has always been.

I loved Napa and will return.
I loved Napa and will return. Although we stayed in American Canyon, I did not mind driving over to downtown Napa. Only 15 min drive.
I really liked the downtown area. The food was terrific everywhere we ate.
The 1801 First Luxury Inn exceeded my expectations in every way. The house is a beautiful historic Victorian house that had endless character and charm. The staff was so sweet, the breakfast delicious (homemade croissants!), and it was super close to downtown Napa. The rooms were spacious, lovely, comfortable, and welcoming. I would stay here again, no questions about it!.
We had the most wonderful stay - gorgeous unique house, comfortable rooms and a great home cooked breakfast every morning sat with other guests who we enjoyed getting to know. We felt so at home here and would definitely recommend! The hostess is clearly very hard working and devoted to the details and it shows. Easily one of the best B&Bs we’ve ever stayed at.
The location is in downtown Napa. The hotel is within 40 minutes of Sonoma, Calistoga, Etc and many great restaurants and wineries.
The real standout at the Archer is the staff. From the front desk to the valets to the housekeepers the entire Archer staff we met was cheerful, helpful and professional. The valets were especially attentive
We booked this hotel as it was walking distance to bottlerock festival, as such we essentially paid luxury hotel prices for a hotel that usually cost considerably less. But that's bottlerock every hotel in the area was the same. The hotel was basic but fine. Staff were very friendly and gave us early check in which was much appreciated.
The room was nice and clean. It was cozy but with enough room to still move around with ease. it was very well lit, which is rare in hotels lately. The bed and pillows are super comfy. The shower pressure was great and the towels smelled like soap. The hotel is a short drive from everything, from downtown Napa to the wineries.
We stayed at The George last year, a few months after it opened and we were so pleased with the excellence in every way. After getting our tickets for Napa Valley Jazz Festival in August, 2022, we booked right after in early fall to stay at the hotel again. See below for what went wrong!
Breakfast is still good!
Breakfast was an added bonus. When I booked the Inn, it stated that breakfast wasnt being served due to coronavirus restrictions. During our stay breakfast was served everyday. The location was excellent. We were able to walk to the downtown area within 5 mins! This location was the best part of our stay!
Room is very good and comfortable! Hotel inside and outside very new. Staffs were good and receptive. Everywhere in Napa will need car, this hotel is good enough to visit the city and return. The cost is very good regarding the hotels inside the napa city and Yountville city.
It was definitely the fanciest best western I have ever been to. Right across from a shopping center that included a target and a starbucks which made it very convenient for us. The hotel staff was very sweet and even held our bags after check out while we explored the city.
An excellent location, near the Napa downtown district with easy access to major roads but quiet at night. Next to the river and trails, but minutes from the best restaurants.
The staff were friendly and efficient. James the GM was very hospitable and informative.
Great property with fireplaces indoor and outdoor and a hot tub. Staff were amazing, the property was clean
Its located right across a mall and less than 5 minutes from downtown Napa
All was great. I think the sheets in the hotel could be better
Very spacious, clean and cozy. It is not luxury kinds of hotel but very comfortable and feel relax like home. The vineyards room is amazing, we all enjoyed the stay so much. Breakfast is provided every morning with free flow Prosecco!
Location was in the center of Napa city center. Easy access to restaurants, retail and bars in the area.
Hotel featured a roof top bar (very popular), water deck with nice cabanas and Charlie Palmer restaurant.
Close proximity Oxbow markets, Napa Valley Wine Train, restaurants and coffee shops all within a short walking distance. The staff all very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area.
Everything. This place was fantastic. We will be staying here during our future visits to Napa. Cottages were amazing, location was great, everything was first class.
Really impressed with this hotel. The best priced hotel of my trip. This hotel has clearly been recently renovated and it offered fantastic value for money.
