Everything! The room was exceptionally clean and warm feeling. Very modern and updated room. Towels were so soft and plush. The best part about our stay was Gayle and the other wonderful staff. Having breakfast brought to our room to enjoy was fabulous. The wine and cheese hour was not just that, it was a whole charcuterie and more. Chocolate chip cookies to top off the night, yum. Great views, easy parking, comfortable place for a girls weekend.

We had a wonderful stay! Beautiful accommodations, common areas, and outdoor garden spaces. It is small, and service was very personalized. The staff was helpful and friendly. The included breakfast was amazing! We loved exploring and hiking around the adjacent Fitzgerald Marine Reserve.

Half Moon Bay is a small community with loads of weekend visitors. Hence, nutty traffic on the weekends. Restaurant options were a mixed bag - found a great Italian place (Pasta Moon) and a horrible Indian place (India Beach).

Lovely hotel & location, but certain services and facilities are curtailed at different times of the year..,.eg the dining room was closed during our stay, as was the bar and the spa. This meant no breakfast was available, and all meals/drinks needed to be taken outside of the hotel.

We stayed in Half Moon Bay to stay out of the SF/Silicon Valley crazy but many of our activities were over on the east side of the peninsula. The seafood was fantastic (Sam's Chowder House) and the beaches and road side farms were as well.

Walked from Harbor Inn to the restaurants and moorings in the harbor across the street. Beautiful harbor, lots of walking opportunities, and a lot of choices to places to eat.
I ate at Barbara's Fish Trap right on the wharf. Fresh broiled sea bass was amazing and the service was great.

Half moon bay is a great weekend visit.
Half moon bay is a great weekend visit.
While there is not much to do late at night, there is plenty to do during the day and evening.
We spend the day/night visiting shops, going wine tasting, walking on the beach, and going out to eat.
Although we sometimes like to stay out late, it was nice to come back a little early and relax back where we were staying.
Everyone in town is very friendly!

Alot of good eating places, Cameron's and the barn walking distance from quality inn. Another of places to walk along the beaches. Nice shops in the little town. My husband and I go there about every three months and stay three days.
We have now stayed at this hotel 3 times over the past year and overall we love this hotel. It's well positioned near great food, easy walking and great view of the bay and ocean. This is the 1st time we've stayed on the 2nd floor and we will be making sure that we ask for a 3rd floor room in future stays. We could hear people walking above us and the ceilings are lower giving the room a smaller feel to it. We did have a great view though and were able to sit out on the balcony and enjoy the weather.
Half Moon Bay is a beautiful location. The Hotel Staff is wonderful.
Felt sorry for the front desk attendants as other guests who had a similar experiences to my own - booked a room believing they had an ocean view - but did not. Perhaps the hotel should provide photos of the actual rooms guests are booking, so we know exactly what to expect. Would certainly make life easier on your welcome Staff as well.
We found this hotel very well ranked on booking but from the beginning we experience several problems: the sheets were dirty, we ask for changes. Two days after we had dirty towels. We found an agreement with the manager to compensate all of this issues and it was not respected…now we are leaving and waiting for our refund…the breakfast is poor! So for all of this reason I don’t recommend this place!
Everything was perfect. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. The hosts, Stacy and Alex were most welcoming and helpful. The hotel and its grounds and location is beautiful. Only a short walk to the beach and to exceptional tide pools. The breakfast is fantastic and a perfect way to start the day. This was our fourth time at Seal Cove Inn. can't wait for our next visit!
Location on the beach and the calm relaxing feeling in the hotel One of my absolut favorite hotels in the Bay area. Allthough it starting to be old and worn., First time I stayed here it was new. Rooms in need for upgrading. Breakfast is perfect to bring up yourself to the balkony and the area is absolutelly beautiful. The openfire is perfect on a foggy Novemberdays.
The staff was so friendly! We loved our room and the location is really perfect! I am a longtime Half Moon Bay visitor but since I live close, I don’t usually stay over. This was an affordable option to be able to bring a friend and get separate rooms close to all of the best beaches and restaurants and still have a little view of the ocean!
The description of “luxury” and the images used to describe this inn are greatly over exaggerated. This is basically a motel 6 on the beach. I would NEVER recommend this location and the was billed 4x what this place should have cost. Literally a junk motel, I’m appalled it cost $675 for 2 nights!
The room was huge and gorgeous! We loved the enormous bathtub! It was great having a refrigerator, television and being so centrally located in Half Moon Bay. We loved the whole vibe, and the complimentary brandy! It was so fun to walk down to Main Street and have breakfast at a local cafe.
Beautifully appointed, clean, and charming. Right on the ocean and near the Coastside trail for great walks. About a 4 mile walk to the downtown of Half Moon Bay, using the trail along the ocean. Good breakfast and wine and cheese in the evening!
Great location with relaxing views. Beautiful and comfy room. Exceptional bed. The staff in this hotel were really nice. It is close to several services walking 5 min. Nearby, there is a restaurant where we had the best fish and ships ever.
I only stayed at this hotel for 1 night, but I found it to be a comfortable place to stay.
My flight to SFO was delayed so I arrived at this hotel about 2am, but even then there was someone on the front desk to welcome me and check me in.
Beautiful and immaculate room. Everything you could want is in the room. Restaurants just across the road. Small minimarket beside the hotel. It is very well located.
