I was born and raised in Martinez, so I am very familiar with what Concord has to offer. It was like coming home again. The Concord Plaza Hotel is close to everything anyone could ever want, so the location is ideal for travelers and newcomers to the area.

Concord is a peaceful area.
Concord is a peaceful area. Depending on the area that you visit. Some places have a lot of traffic. I've visited here a lot for different things. Great for dinner dates. Great for just going to the restaurants. Concord is the main city I take my family to. They also have the Sun valley Mall that has two stories my kids enjoyed that. They have a few nice hotels. Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek is a nice area as well

The restraunts we really like are The Old Spagetti Factory...
The restraunts we really like are The Old Spagetti Factory in Todos Santos Plaza at 1955 Mt Diablo Street, In-and Out Burger at 570 Contra Costa Blvd, as well as Diggers Diner at 1895 Farm Bureau Rd B (cross street is Willow Pass Road) in Concord
Getting around Concord is easy - even on the bus system if you have extra time - by car or even bike (wo out bike lanes) it is much easier and faster due to the wait time.
On this trip we did not have extra time so we did not get to go to any of these restraunts except Diggers Diner.
Next time, we will avoid the short stay.
However, we did have time to go to JC Penny's in Sun Valley Mall as well as the Burlington Store at 568 Contra Costa Blvd, Pleasant Hill. We did a little Christmas Shopping at Burlington.
Then back to Concord BART and to the Martinez AmTrak via a free ride on a County Connection clean bus.

This is a great location it is a 20 minute drive to Oakland airport and about a 45/1hr drive to San Francisco depending on traffic. If you can find a good hotel here it is a cool place to stay if you want quiet when your sleeping you can always travel to sites and activities.

Very nice hotel, but the staff were exceptionally helpful.
Very nice hotel, but the staff were exceptionally helpful. Our biggest problem was the air wouldn't turn off because we were trying the button on the unit instead of the control on the wall. We were told there was no food service, so we picked up dinner on the way in - we could have eaten there.

What a great find.
What a great find. Concord is a quaint, pretty town with lots of great restaurants. Our first time attending an even at the Concord Pavilion which is a great concert venue. Not too large just right. However the traffic getting in & out was pretty bad. Next time we know to allow an extra 45 minutes to an hour & that was with taking an Uber from the hotel to the Pavilion. Overall we had a fun trip we also discovered Huckleberry’s for breakfast/lunch. Yummy food, fantastic service. We will be back
the place is nice and clean BUT DO NOT USE YOU CREDIT CARD HERE . THE MANAGER OR ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES IS DOING CREDIT CARD FRAUD. they tried to charge me almost 700 dollars for one night. and when i called the hotel they said it wasnt them who charged me but i contact booking.com they were able to make them reverse it
While a franchise hotel, the owners had clearly taken some effort to add personal touches. The addition of simple things like pictures on the wall made this feel less like a bland, corporate place.
The girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was pretty good for the hotel level.
This hotel is very nice and quiet. The rooms are beautiful. It feels like you're in your own apartment. Very comfortable cozy and peaceful the most comfortable bed I ever had in my life. I would recommend I stay here to anyone who likes peace and quiet when traveling
This was the second time we had stayed here. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a place to stay in concord. close to fast food, and some shopping area... we really enjoyed the room and bed and the staff was very helpfull and friendly.
Size of room was good. Microwave/refrig/iron were appreciated. Room was old school design & furniture, but clean and in good shape. Black out curtains. Adequate charging plugs. Hotel backs up to airport but not an issue as it was small private plane area.
No WiFi, no breakfast, no laundry room, basic TV (no cable), no microwave, and at night the local police seem to use the hotel's parking lot as apart of their regular routine of harassing people who are staying there, and towing people's cars.
Location was great. .9 mi walk to Concord Pavilion. People at front desk were funny and nice. Rooms were clean and quiet. For the price it was great. It wasn’t luxury but it was perfect for our needs. Lots of food options around the hotel.
The interior of the hotel was nice and upgraded. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The room was good for a short stay. It was quiet as well.
