Heating controls could be better. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were very thick. Breakfast was the usual frozen stuff with little variety or choices. Overall it was okay.

I travel to Sault Saint Marie for work every 2 weeks.
I travel to Sault Saint Marie for work every 2 weeks. It's got everything one would need when staying there....plenty of decent hotels, eateries and shopping areas.
Sault Saint Marie is a town you pass through heading west, or heading east from Manitoba, through Ontario, or to Sault, Michigan.

We were here for fall train trip and it was nice.
We were here for fall train trip and it was nice. Not needed again though. We went to a different place for every lunch and dinner. We had 2 serving staff that weren’t of a spicy attitude. The other 2 were nice and friendly. The food was fair but nothing that was amazing. I won’t go to the Sault again. Very pretty area though!

We went for fall foliage and were not disappointed- it was gorgeous! Hike Robertson Cliffs! We also did the Agawa Canyon Train and, hmm. We had hoped for a spectacular train ride, and it wasn't. The canyon itself is gorgeous, but you get 1 1/2 hours there which isn't much considering the train ride is 8 hours r/t. Most of the other passengers were elderly though so it seemed about right for the less mobile. We enjoyed the canal site and all the historical markers, but unfortunately went on Sunday and discovered the visitor center is closed on weekends. Huh? The seaplane museum was open and fascinating.

No police in Sault Ste Marie?
No police in Sault Ste Marie? People were drag racing up and down the Main Street in front of hotel all night. Hotel was dated and shabby but clean. For the price it wasn’t good value at all. I’ve paid similar rates at hotels that were well kept and updated. It was clean and staff were nice though.

We drove north of Sault Ste Marie along Lake Superior.
We drove north of Sault Ste Marie along Lake Superior. Absolutely beautiful. We drove up to see the pictographs but I was not able to complete the hike as it was pretty rugged. But my husband did and he got some fabulous photos. Luckily he did not go swimming due to the wet, narrow ledge.

I loved the large terrace across the whole back of the building. Our little dog loved being able to go outside through the patio doors and sit with us. I loved being able to go outside and sit on the terrace too. We sat and talked with our 3 neighbors which is something you don’t usually get to do while staying in a hotel. The breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day too.
Did not have breakfast at the hotel but had dinner, the place is just spectacular and close to everything. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Everyone at the front desk were very welcoming, actually the whole staff made the journey worthwhile . The spa area was clean and beautiful. I am so glad we chose to stay at this hotel, would do it again,
We've stayed two days. Holiday Inn Express is located in downtown, very convenient to access Agawa canyon tour train station, Station mall, Sault Ste. Marie board walk, art gallery, etc. We felt low frequency sound when we got in our room, and told hotel staff about this, she changed a quiet room for us very quickly.
The hotel was as expected. The room was clean and in good order. Parking was convenient and I was able to park my vehicle within sight of my room. The check in was quick and efficient. The front desk clerks were professional and pleasant both on check in and check out.
Loved the pricing, warm breakfast, cleanliness and overall appeal and centricity of the place in the city. Did not like the maze-like walk around hotel and getting lost when trying to find your room. Did not like low ceilings in lobby, common areas and the rooms.
The breakfasts were very good. We did have to purchase meals. The room was very comfortable, large bathroom. The location was good. On the St. Mary's River and across from Station Mall. One of the best hotels I have stayed at.
Breakfast was excellent despite COVID.
The staff is extremely friendly.
The rooms and hotel were clean. Great location. Minutes from many restaurants and attractions. Thanks to Mark, Rudy the front staff, and the breakfast lady.
Comfy beds, great staff and hotel location is spot on for the reason we stayed in Sault Ste. Marie. Also the underground parking is awesome. We will continue to book this hotel when we visit Sault Ste. Marie.
The breakfast was ok…missing any fresh fruit, no juice at all, limited bread selections( other hotels had more in all three categories). Location was good…near highway and eateries.
Good internet speed. AC made the room to the perfect cooling temperature.
Starbucks, subway are walking distance from the hotel.
The location of the hotel is right by the main road.
breakfast was great!, nice looking pool and gym. very clean hotel with lots of amenities. friendly staff and nice area. right on the water and plenty of area to walk outside.
Easy to check in. Loved the location with restaurants nearby. Very quiet and our dog loved it. The room was very clean and more spacious than other hotels . Reasonable rates.
