We were here for fall train trip and it was nice.
We were here for fall train trip and it was nice. Not needed again though. We went to a different place for every lunch and dinner. We had 2 serving staff that weren’t of a spicy attitude. The other 2 were nice and friendly. The food was fair but nothing that was amazing. I won’t go to the Sault again. Very pretty area though!

We went for fall foliage and were not disappointed- it was gorgeous! Hike Robertson Cliffs! We also did the Agawa Canyon Train and, hmm. We had hoped for a spectacular train ride, and it wasn't. The canyon itself is gorgeous, but you get 1 1/2 hours there which isn't much considering the train ride is 8 hours r/t. Most of the other passengers were elderly though so it seemed about right for the less mobile. We enjoyed the canal site and all the historical markers, but unfortunately went on Sunday and discovered the visitor center is closed on weekends. Huh? The seaplane museum was open and fascinating.

No police in Sault Ste Marie?
No police in Sault Ste Marie? People were drag racing up and down the Main Street in front of hotel all night. Hotel was dated and shabby but clean. For the price it wasn’t good value at all. I’ve paid similar rates at hotels that were well kept and updated. It was clean and staff were nice though.

We drove north of Sault Ste Marie along Lake Superior.
We drove north of Sault Ste Marie along Lake Superior. Absolutely beautiful. We drove up to see the pictographs but I was not able to complete the hike as it was pretty rugged. But my husband did and he got some fabulous photos. Luckily he did not go swimming due to the wet, narrow ledge.

The property was lovely, right on the lake, next to the art museum and close to the bush plane museum, however it was so windy and cold it was impossible to walk anywhere, plus, everything is closed on Sundays. There was no reason to stay in this town. We should have crossed the border. So my gripe is not with the hotel, but with my choice to stay there. It was too expensive for what it was.
The hotel was in a great location as we were primarily in town to do the Agawa Canyon train tour which was about 10min away. It was also near to a variety of food options. The room was clean and looked like it had been recently redecorated. The bed was very comfortable and the room had lots of space to move around in. Breakfast was available at this location and had enough options for us.
Quick and friendly check in with clear communication. Parking was as you come which was honestly perfectly fine for us! We had dinner in Casey’s where the food and drinks were 10/10 and the service was exceptional. The rooms check all the boxes in regards to good quality, spacious and clean room.
Also the searchmont ski hill is a quick 30/40 minute drive from the hotel and that was ideal.
Incredible value for money ! We paid 75$ for a deluxe queen room with jacuzzi ! The beds were soooo soft and comfy, we slept like babies.
Staff was very welcoming and kind.
Very close to the beautiful waterfront and a practical bustling commercial street.
Wifi is super fast.
Huge convenient covered parking.
Very quiet, it felt like we were the only ones in the hotel.
Nicole and Shelby are amazing staff members. I had a total misunderstanding with booking.com and they totally screwed up my booking, but Nicole absolutely helped me out and was able to take care of the situation.
Shelby is wonderful, helped us as well to settle in.
Highly recommend this hotel, but call them and book directly. Skip 3rd party crap.
I don’t know. Even though it says in the policy that they are pet friendly, they ARE NOT!
They took my money but didn’t let me stay. I was moving from west to east Canada with my dog and we had to stay in a Motel after being rejected by this scammer hotel. They made me pay in advance, rejected me and my family, but made sure to take my money.
The room was clean and comfortable with parking right in front of the unit. The layout was like a little apartment including tables and shelves. The bathroom was renovated and included a detachable shower head. The hotel is right off the Trans-canada highway so it is also is in a very convenient location. ++
Location was ok and friendly staff . For a two star hotel it was fine. So just have that in mind . The gent that signed us in was very friendly and had said that if we didn't like the room we could come back and get refunded. But honestly had long drive and didn't want to continue searching for a room .
The room and washroom was clean and comfortable. We liked that you could still choose between a breakfast sandwich, muffin or bagel for the packed breakfast bag where most hotels just give you a bag with a bagel these days. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.
The beds where comfy, and the hotel is in a central spot for those traveling on the TransCanada. The breakfast to go when checking out was a nice added touch. Possibly one of the best hotels in Sault Ste Marie.
One of the best stays in Sault Ste. Marie, the staff was courteous and welcoming, rooms were very clean and comfortable, I would definitely recommend this motel whenever you drop by this beautiful city.
Building was dated, but super clean. We normally stay at the big name hotels when traveling, but this trio only stayed at the smaller “mom and pop” motels. Definitely great value! Highly recommend!
Was very happy with everything. No complaints. Good staff. Extremely clean rooms! Comfortable beds.
Would Recommend to anyone coming to Sault Ste. Marie. I will be coming back.
