I had never been to Leamington before. We went because we had been to Niagara on the Lake and Prince Edward County to tour wineries but never Pelee Island area. Chose this location as room is close (10 minute drive) to port where you can catch the ferry to the Island. We went on Oct 3 which is their off season. Not much to see on the Island and the ferry ride out, while peaceful 1.5 hours, didn't give you much to look at (no scenery, islands, coastal views). Once on the Island, there isn't much as there are only two wineries and one was closed for the season. If you hike or bike, it may be worth the trip to the Island but my husband and I had better time touring the 15 wineries on the mainland. Smaller wineries with really good wine that's not sold at LCBO (government controlled liquor store). We stocked up for Christmas gifts. Tastings are not free but most will give you credit back on the tasting fee if you purchase a bottle of wine.

Leamington is the kind of place that has a small town, homey, and inviting feeling while having lots of great restaurants and amenities. I think that it is often overlooked by some travelers, but trust me, if you make proper use of your time and explore all it has to offer you will find Leamington a wonderful getaway.

Leamington has a pleasant harbor front to walk around especially in sunny weather. But the most pleasant part is Point Pelee National Park, it's really worth the 3.5 hours drive to Leamington from Toronto. The Marsh Boardwalk is very serene and the trip to the Tip is a must.
If it wasn't for Point Pelee National Park, there's not much to visit around Leamington, in my opinion.

Point of disclosure.
Point of disclosure. Leamington is actually my hometown but I moved away over 25 years ago and come back for visits. I LOVE the marina---great place for walks (kids have a great playground nearby). Everyone is friendly and willing to chat for a little bit (I don't get that where I live now). Colasantis never disappoints (petting zoo, lots of amazing plants, and lets not forget the delicious broasted chicken, that yummy peach drink that really does taste like you are drinking a peach! and of course those addictive cinnamon yeast donuts). Farmer's stands all over Leamington means that you get great fresh produce to take back. The Dock has a great beach and plenty of places to find shade from the warm sun!

Close enough to Essex County wineries and restaurants.
Close enough to Essex County wineries and restaurants. Kingsville is the place to be as it is more central for wine tasting and access to Pelée Island in the late summer and early fall. Pelée Island is a gem.

Stayed here 2 days in summer of August 2022.
Stayed here 2 days in summer of August 2022. The rate per day is way OVERPRICE. This hotel charges more than a 5 star hotel at Cdn$280/n and it's not even in a big major city, it's in the municipality of Leamington. Downtown Toronto hotel prices for a similar outfit charges less than $200/n. I hated their breakfast, the choices were so few, the coffee was awful!! The worst part about the breakfast was eating it in a paper plate with plastic cutlery!!!
The property is well located with easy access to both Point Pelee and Hillman Marsh. It’s in Leamington so there are grocery stores, etc.
within a few minutes drive. The main floor of the house is well equipped and very clean. Richard is an excellent host and provides everything
he can to make the stay perfect. I also really liked the screened in back patio, it was a great place to sit.
The hotel is in VERY close proximity to Point Pelee National Park which is why we chose it. It was clean, well organized, and had an elevator for accessibility. Toiletries and other standard items were provided, and extra coffee pods were provided at request.
The hotel has an in-house restaurant which was decent. It was actually surprisingly good.
Location was good and staff was very helpful and accommodating, the hotel attendantexplained everything clearly and helpfully. Location was nice and the ease of parking was good too. Area was quiet and we had no disturbances during the night. The rooms were very nicely furnished, the bathroom vanity in particular was nice.
The room was very spacious and looked exactly as advertised on booking.com. Modern full bath. Kitchen did not have oven/stove but was equipped with hotplates and all other necessities. Very clean. Hosts were very available and friendly. We felt very safe and well taken care of.
The room was very large and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. The owner who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. The outside looks like a typical motel but inside the room you feel like you are at a hotel.
I travel a lot and this is the best hotel I have stayed at in this price range and, in fact, better than many luxury hotels. Loved it. We extended our stay and I'll be back. Great staff and great accommodations.
The host is very nice and available for every need. The room was extremely clean with a great attention to details.
The position is great, you can easily reach both downtown Leamington and Kingsville.
loved the location in Leamington, close to the park and walkable to a few places. nice living room and kitchen area and pots/pans, coffee maker and a few common essentials were available too!
I had a room in the back away from the road. There was a nice lawn and some beautiful chestnut trees. Chairs to sit outside. The room was spacious and had everything I needed.
The manager and the staff go above and beyond to ensure your safety in the hotel amd they are refreshingly polite. I will definitely book again . Thank you Days inn Leamington
I have a feeling that this hotel is very warm and comfortable, also I like the parking is right in front of the room, this is very convenient for me to take my baggage.
Room was newly renovated, per Front Desk. The room we had was spacious, we had 2 queen beds and I found it too soft for my back but other friends liked theirs.
Room was exceptionally clean and close to all amenities in Leamington. Quiet area for a good nights sleep. I would highly recommend it for anyone to stay
