BEST - Lovely staff should warn you on booking when the air-conditioning is off.
· After all the trouble we had encountered and after speaking with the lovely manager Lorena Sillero Correro a fan was provided, a free breakfast picnic, a couple of glasses of red wine on one evening, some sweets and a bottle of water. She explained that no monitory refund could be provided as it was booked through Booking.com but she could provide some treats. She was lovely and compassionate to our wows along with the great reception day and night staff.
WORST - I booked this hotel because it had air-conditioning, it hadn't, it was turned off for winter. They do not tell you this when you book it and they give no refund for the inconvenience. It was 26 Deg C outside, summer, the room was sweltering and when I complained on my second night at 0100hrs they could not provide me with a fan so opened the window for some fresh air and promptly let all the mosquitoes in. It was the worst and hottest sweatiest night I have had in a hotel for months - the last time was India. The third day a fan was provided but only fanned around the already hot air and if you had a shower the room was unbearable. Booking.com were useless and provided no refund or compensation.
Its a Holiday Inn - standard and expected rooms, decent sized, clean but they are dated rooms, Rooms came with beds that were ok sized, desk to work, closets to hand clothes, big sized shower. Room also had a kettle which was great for making tea in the morning. Hotel is also located to a large shopping centre, with a food court and some shops and cinemas.
The hotel is clean and tidy, the swimming pool area is amazing, and the room is nice and cool despite how hot it was when we visited. Staff very friendly, although some struggled to understand English (my Spanish is terrible), although we managed to get by. Staff also helpful arranging taxis to destinations.
Hotel was really cozy and nice, had clean and comfy beds, perfect for a price. I do recommend this hotel, probably the best in the area. We haven't tried but there is spa in hotel and pool outside. Lovely personnel as well.
Location is good IF you have a car, as it allows you to move around the beautiful towns in the south of Spain (Vejer, Tarifa, etc) . Staff are very helpful
