Vinh Long is a great city for tourists, as you experience local life easily. There are nearly no other tourists around, we only saw one other group on our 2 day trip. The city has great places to eat and is easy to discover by bike. The Bus station can be reached via West Bank Station in Ho Chi Minh. We were very grateful that the home stay Mekong Pottery offered organized trips and also the options to have dinner at the home stay. There was a lot of information provided on the website. The host was always present and open for answering our questions. We recommend the trips we booked via the home stay a lot! We had a great stay. The room and the outdoor bathroom are beautifully made and fit the surroundings so well. It's a little oasis for travellers.

It is a lovely place to stay for one night or two during a Mekong delta trip as there is not so much to do there. If you enjoy long walk, cycling, fishing and good food, then it is definitely worth stopping in Vinh Long on the way to Can Tho. People are really friendly and it is very relaxing there.

It's a bit far out from the town center but the solitutde was fantastic. The Wifi was suprisingly fast, the pool was refreshing, the food was delicious and the staff were super accomodating and friendly. I did two boat trips that left directly from the homestay. I booked three days but when I arrived I wasn't sure I wanted to stay the whole time. At the end, I didn't want to leave and could have easily stayed more days.

Several small restaurants and a Winmart grocery store are within easy walking distance. The breakfast that is provided with our stay was actually very good. The restaurant is located on the 6th floor and has a pretty good view of the surrounding area.
