I am Thai and come from this town originally.It is a typical Issan town with basic shops and a night market. It has a couple of temples and is worth a visit for those wishing to see the real Thailand outside of the main tourist areas.Perhaps for those going on to Nong Khai and Laos.

The hotel is new and the rooms are basic; but this hotel is well worth the money and it is a great value. My only complaint (and it's really not much of a complaint) is the hotel uses very common beds; meaning they are VERY firm. Not to my liking, but very common in Thailand. I would recommend this place to stay. The breakfast, while basic, was 89 baht and the food was very good.

But hotel is located in small quiet street with private parking and private entrance to the room. Lot of restaurants are near too and market and Bus Terminal 2 are just opposite.

There is a 24 hour self service laundromat just 2 minutes walk from the hotel and provides a very cheap option for doing laundry. there is a 7-11 store about 12 minutes walk from the hotel.
