This is a small old town that you can entertain the experience of local life style and particular foods. Compared to many others the number and quality of good restaurant are quite exceptionally high. The main street and walking street are parallel to Maekhong River and it is quite easy to find a good cafe to sip any drinks and enjoying the river view.
The night walking street is 2 km long and has plenty of shops and street food.
Nearby there is several small tourist attractions including small mountains, river banks and even a skywalk. There are plenty of old small temples around.
The town is small, so it is better to avoid long weekend.

Outside the town, in that part of Loei there are great roads for biking. Picturesque town. Met some lovely people too. Disappointed that although the city has gone to the trouble of making cycling lanes that it these are blocked with minibuses, tuk tuks and songtaews using it as free parking space.
Nice to stayed here , Perfect almosphere .
Hotel is clean and neath . Cute decor , reccommened for old folk it safe to stay here or even big group of friends or family can be hangout together at the same house.

They also got a bicycle for us to roam around for free .
The owner also very friendly .
We spend more time than planned in Chiang Khan because we really felt at home at dream weaver's house. The host was really nice, speak a good English and was helpful. The location is perfect to visit the city and she even borrow you bikes if you want.
Thank you very much!
Quiet, comfortable and clean, in a nice location.
Probably a fifteen minute walk to Chiang Khan walking street.
Amazing breakfast options, very welcoming owner and staff.
We will happily return, when next in Chiang Khan.
Great place yo stay and visit Chiang Khan. Typical house in the main road, with a view on the Mekong. Free bikes available. Really nice people, very helpfull. Also, nice massage place just on the other side of the road.
Very good value for money. Super clean and friendly. Nice simple breakfast. Good location, away from the crowded central part of Chiang Khan, but still within walking distance (or borrow one of the free bicycles).
Very cute house, comfy and at the the end of the walking street in a more quiet zone. The view to Mekhong river is also very serene. The guest house also provide bikes for you to take and go around.
Say-thong was a very friendly host. The hotel is also located in a quiet neighbourhood.
In addition, the famous Chiang Khan Walking Street and 7/11 is within 5 minutes walking distance as well.
Location away from crowds of walking street. Views of Mekong River and surroundings. Breakfast was more robust than other hotels offering such. Staff was helpful and responsive to requests.
The hotel was nicely decorated and the room looked quite modern. The male owner was very friendly and helpful. It was relatively clean, however definitely not spotlessly.
Nice soft comfortable bed and very quiet. Lovely host and excellent choice for morning instant coffee. Easy walking distance to the river and walking street.
Excellent hotel! Very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff and terrific location! I would highly recommend this place if you are staying in Chiangkhan.
