During my stay, I found Lillestrøm to be a delightful blend of convenience and charm. There are plenty of excellent dining options, catering to various tastes, ensuring that every meal was a culinary adventure. Additionally, the outdoor walking areas provide a refreshing escape and are perfect for unwinding after a busy day of meetings in Oslo. Whether you’re in town for business or pleasure, Lillestrøm offers everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We actually we're closer to Strommen and were able to walk...
We actually we're closer to Strommen and were able to walk there to grocery shop. We only visited Lillestrom for bus tickets - my husband did walk down around the "lake" which was beautiful. Some interesting sculptures!

Skip the expensive hotels at the airport and stay here - only 10 mins away RIGHT at the Lillestrom train station. Same for Oslo - downtown is noisy and expensive. Stay here and be only 10 mins on the train away. It was the best breakfast we had in Norway! Also has heating and A/C which many hotels did not (then you listen to street noise if you need to open windows in Oslo and elsewhere).PGCanada

The house is spacious and tastefully decorated with panoramic windows overlooking a river in the guestroom. The linens were also provided! The neighborhood is quiet, and it's 20-25 min drive from Oslo Downtown.
