We stayed overnight on our way to South Gippsland.
We stayed overnight on our way to South Gippsland. We needed to stop and rest, we also had our small dog which was very appreciative being allowed to stay. Have never stayed in Wangaratta before, it was very nice, close to shops and a beautiful park. Will stay again.

To me, Wangaratta is a hidden gem.
I love it!
To me, Wangaratta is a hidden gem.
I love it! I first chose it due to its relative proximity to ski fields, but once i visited the first time, i was in love.
It is a good size regional centre, has an urban flair, but is immersed in its beautiful parks and bike paths to die for! Great as a hub to explore further out (wine and food, ski fields etc) but also lovely to.
chill out by the rivers or some of its many creeks.
I recommend a self guided walk around its historic buildings (pick up the map from Info centre), swim under the main bridge in summer, of course ride a bike, it's mostly flat and easy
Have stayed here a few times for work. Always a lovely, comfy stay. Large rooms, comfy beds.
Staff are always amazing, one of the rare hotels where people actually care. If you arrive late, they turn on the lights and the heater for you. They give you real milk for your tea/coffee. They even have yummy biscuits with the tea/coffee.
Would always recommend Hermitage.
The room was much as expected. It was all the little extras that made our time so comfortable: good quality tea and coffee sachets (rather than the cheap version), an abundance of shampoos and soaps, power blocks on each side of the bed, etc. None of these would have cost much, but the difference they made was immense. Shows a professional and generous approach.
The staff were helpful and kind, allowing us to check in a little early as we'd had a long drive and we were in Wangaratta for a funeral that afternoon. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable after a long day. We would definitely recommend and stay again if we come this way in the future.
Warby cottage is a wonderful destination. We loved the view across the paddock to the Victorian Alps. It is a quiet and beautiful location that is a perfect place to relax. A delicious continental breakfast was provided. The host was friendly and helpful and we loved the animals that were nearby.
Clean, organized, great staff that welcomed me as a repeat guest. Also my first time using the DIY laundry facilities during this stay — free, easy and everything provided.
The previous weekend I stayed in a cheap motel in Wangaratta and was reminded of why I normally stay at Quest when I visit.
Perfectly fine hotel for an overnight stop between Bendigo and Newcastle. Room was clean, staff were friendly and it was a quiet location, which meant I got a good night's sleep before having to drive for the day.
Pleasant setting (rooms overlooking pretty pool area); extra thoughtful touches such as windscreen cleaning and offering light milk; soft pillows, nice mugs instead of cheap China cups, room was fresh and clean.
Ours was a one night stay. It was an older hotel. But has had a update and all of the facilities (including the outside) were very clean. The staff were very helpful. Would stay there again.
Room was comfortable and clean, exactly what you'd expect for a motel of this level. Great service from the staff and very convenient to shops, restaurants and the city of Wangaratta.
Was a great 2 night stay we had , motes extra clean couldn’t fault anything , and the staff were beyond helpful we will definitely be staying there next time we are back in Wangaratta
We were after a hotel where we didn't have use shared spaces - hallways or lifts or carry things upstairs. We like the older style of drive up motels and this one fit the bill well.
The Parkview Motor Inn had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We were pleased to have a separate living room and kitchen rather than just a hotel room.
